From the moment we opened the door the room - AKA closet - the memories of 70s days gone by came rushing back. From the wallpaper that was reminiscent of my Mother's bedroom in 1969, to the pool-liner covered headboard, it was a true throwback.
The piece de resistance are the green faux-velvet drapes from the set of Debbie Does Dallas, we especially enjoyed the 'measure once cut twice' finish of the 'crown' molding that was gently brushed by the faux-velvet covering of the valence, whose 1981 glue had come unstuck.
Parking was also a nightmare after 6:00 PM. We understand that construction people have to use this place because the government won't pay for the Ritz, but maybe they could do a better job at NOT TAKING UP 3 spots so that we have to park across the street.
Best shower you'll ever have though, TBH, if you can look past the ceiling crack and the chipped paint above the shower head.
Despite stepping into a time machine, it was clean. It should be, considering that it was the size of a broom closet.More
