went there today for a small lunch....we love the Croustille Au Fromage. looking forward to that and the french onion soup. the waitreess informed us that they had changed their french onion soup and now instead of "traditional" with some bread and cheese baked on top...they now do a "pastery shelll" on top. well, i got a bowl of soup that could have been bought from a can and a shoot load of "pastery", baked on the side of the bowl. non in with the very small portion of brother. one salad, one soup, one Croustille Au Fromage and we were atthere for an hour and a half. and sadly, at lunch time, we were the ONLY customers between lunch hour.
then to add onto the unenjoyable experience...driving in downtown edmonton was heck and parking cost us $16.
sad...but this restaurant is not worth going bak too.
salad, soup and 2 Croustille Au Fromage...$43 without tip

My friends and I have enjoyed dining at The Creperie over the last 40 years. It is our favourite place to come to since we were all in high school together. The food is consistently tasty and the ambience is lovely. We enjoyed the beef stroganoff crepe and the ice cream crepes for dessert; part of the three course meal.

While the gluten free options were definitely prepared carefully (I am a very sensitive celiac - did not have a reaction to the food, which was nice), the food missed the mark in terms of flavour. Our dinner crepes were flavourless, the vegetables were over seasoned, my dessert crepe was dry, and my husband's Crepe Suzette was so sweet it was inedible. Although The Creperie has an expansive GF menu and our server was attentive, we will not be returning due to the entirely underwhelming food.

Food is bland and ridiculously over priced. How much should a person pay for microwaved green giant vegetables?
Decor & atmosphere is dated dirty and tired. Service is slow & lame.
I can’t for the life of me understand the positive reviews, these people have either never been to another restaurant before in their life or have some sort of nostalgia from 40 years ago and they refuse to believe that the place has gotten old and outdated. Maybe it was good “back in the day” but do yourself a favor and try one of the new places in town to get a true appreciation for what quality food, attention and service truly is.
