Great country music. Live bands. Excellent service. Food is great. Big dance floors. A fun place to dance the night away to good country music. My complaints are that drinks are allowed on the dance floor and when the younger crowd comes in around 11ish, they stand around on the dance floor.

Came to this place in search of country music and dancing. Got just that. Great live band, cheap drinks, and friendly locals.
Perfect for a night out with friends.

After 6 days of hiking through the Rockies we arrived in Calgary. We decided to see what Calgary was all about and headed to Ranchman's. We had a blast! They were just starting the line dance lessons so we jumped right in and joined! It was happy hour so we had a couple of drinks, then I fulfilled my dream of riding the mechanical bull (for about 10 seconds!). It was very authentic with the regulars looking like legitimate cowboys and cowgirls. The country band was amazing. Such a fun way to cap off an amazing vacation

We had heard about the cowboy dance halls in Calgary and so this was a don't miss event for us. We really enjoyed it. Enjoyed having a cold beer and watching the locals dance. We visited on a Friday night so was busy and fun. $8 cover charge was fair. We didn't eat there so not sure about the food side. Friendly and safe for all ages.

The Ranchman's celebrated its 45 anniversary in April and its longevity is partly due to the class with which it treats its customers. Staff are quick with a smile, beer is inexpensive and the dancefloor is extensive (and they have rules that make it more civilized than a lot of bars - no drinks on the floor, no tossing your partner in the air). They also play real country tunes, at least for the first part of the evening, and they support a lot of good Western Canadian talent.
