Owner description: There’s no comparing the emerald green waters of Minnewanka with any urban landscape. Mountain ridges stretch as far as the eye can see, eventually blurring into a blissful cascade of colours.

Beaware of bears around Stewart Canyon! There were grizzly bear and black bear. For your safety bring a bear spray with you!

An absolutely stunning lake with emerald green waters, gentle walking trails and an excellent boat tour.

Well worth the drive.

Take the loop around the park and you are likely to see wildlife too.

Thank you TomNIwona for taking our boat tour and visiting Lake Minnewanka. Glad you enjoyed your time here.

Also great recommendation to take the loop road past Two Jack Lake, lots of sights to take in and wildlife to see.

Take the circle drive to TwoJack lake and Lke Minnewanka. Scenic and there is lots of wildlife. We saw bears and elk on our last trip. On previous trips we have seen a lot of sheep. Worth the drive.

As soon as we entered the lake area we saw two bears. Amazing site. The lake area has miles of walking trails with beautiful scenery.
If you have driven from Banff make sure you take the Tunnel Mountain route back and stop off to admire the views over The Hoodoos.

Take the hike along the northern edge of the lake to a bridge overlook to see the mountain river emptying in to the lake. Nice trail.
