“Perfect place to get away from hectic, city life - no wifi - YAY!!!”
Reviewed 14 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

All members of my family - ages 4yrs to 67yrs - had the most memorable weekend in this basic yet adequate camping barn. Warm and dry.
We were well equipped - camping gear, food, drink etc - as explained on Teresa's website so we had a stress free holiday.
Weather was fab. Scenery - stunning. The perfect place to unwind, run/roll down hills, breathe the fresh country air.
Definitely recommend this place if you enjoy camping but don't want the hassle of putting up a tent.

Liked best: basic nature of the barn - camping without the tent.
Liked least: 1 toilet = queues, but this was expected.

We went up to stay in the Camping Barn for a stop over night whilst having a weekend away for my birthday. The barn obviously isn't luxurious accommodation but was perfect for our group of 12 who wanted communal budget accommodation! We candle lit the barn and enjoyed a night with the BBQ taking in the views of the peakdistrict! It was a great experience, would highly recommend!

“It's a barn, simple.”
Reviewed 18 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We booked Alstonefield camping barn for a get together with friends and it is exactly as you expect. An empty barn with water. No electricity, minimal phone signal, no other people around - lovely. We ate in a local pub then played cards in front of the wood burner all night. It's basically camping but without the tent. We'd book again.

Thank you so much for the 5 star review Natalie - much appreciated
Before this Winter we hope to insulate the roof space to make upstairs retain the heat better. We are planning to do this without spoiling the character of the barn and maintain the visibility of the lovely old internal beams.
Yes, the old bridal path leading to the barn can be a challenge for low cars, pleased you managed it. We upgrade the lane when we can but as it is a bridal path we are not allowed to tarmac it or alter its appearance too much. Anyone concerned about the lane is most welcome to park at the farmhouse where there is ample room and extra cars can be parked here if necessary, however we do encourage people to car share when possible.
Hope you will return
thank you
Teresa

Booked this for sole use for me and teenage daughter and friends. Wonderful away from it all location. Very basic but the young people loved it, even no wi-fi as they enjoyed just hanging out together.
