Several reviews have mentioned overcharging. We were overcharged by £15 which was eventually reimbursed without an apology. The young staff member who dealt with us was polite but was clearly struggling. We noticed other customers complaining about being overcharged too.
Another review mentioned a single till for all sales. This creates a long queue and waiting time for customers. Another till is available in the shop but unstaffed. Speed of service would be significantly improved by the quick & easy solution of permanently staffing two active till-points.
To sum up, this cafe needs much better management and customer service to justify the relatively high cost of the meals it serves. I feel sorry for the young staff who are doing their best to serve with a smile under a broken system and an unsmiling manager.
I’ve noticed that the company doesn’t respond to any reviews, so presumably isn’t very interested in either customer experience or customer feedback - which indicates a complacency and lack of commitment to improving their offer. I hope this culture changes at some point , as it could be a lovely place to eat.
