My Nephew was getting married at August Bank Holiday so my wife and I decided to take a 3 day break in the Kirby Lonsdale area.On arrival we were greeted by the Host Elizabeth who showed us to our room. The accommodation is wonderful and clean the bed is very comfortable to sleep on,and even a sofa to sit on.Bathroom once again very clean with plenty of Hot water for a shower etc.The bar only has bottled beer but excellent coffee liqueurs, and a varied wine list. David, Elizabeth's husband is the chef and provides excellent Breakfast and Evening Meals.{Don't bother going out stay in Have a drink and a good value meal and no driving} All in all we had a wonderful stay at the Head, and will return again.

Our 3rd stay at the Head where we find this accommodation is excellent for stop overs to and from Scotland and the South East to break the journey.
Elizabeth and David were great hosts once more, providing excellent home cooked evening meals and breakfasts to set you up for a day out!
We had the use of a very clean family room, with lovely white fresh bed linen, The lay out in the room is a brilliant use of space and plenty of room to sit also. There is tea and coffee facilities topped up regularly and rooms serviced daily..the shower room is clean with the use of toiletries and towels if needed.
With the proprietors nothing is too much trouble!
We are always made to feel very welcome and the accommodation suits our needs as a family.
It's a lovely area lots of walks nearby, yet not too far to visit surrounding villages / towns in different areas of Yorkshire, the Lake District or over to Morecombe bay.
We cannot find fault, each time we have visited we have enjoyed our stay, and always disappointed when the time goes too fast! we will definitely return again when travelling up to Scotland.

Stayed in family room Saturday night with my husband and 2 teenage sons. The room was very large and the bedroom area was split by a partition so the boys felt like they had their own area. Proper beds for the kids and all the beds were very comfy. Rare to find family accomodation for 4 with all adult sized beds for a reasonable price.

The evening meals and breakfast were all home made and were excellent with very generous portions.

The pub is an old fashioned traditional country inn which we love. There was a lovely garden for guests with lots of flowers and song birds.

The proprietors were very helpful and friendly and we were made to feel at home straight away. They even had lactose free milk in stock and were very helpful with my dietary requirements.

The pub is situated in a great area for walking and we had a fantastic weekend. Thank you.
