Excellent, great on rainy day, kept us entertained. Only two of us on there so had all the help as I had never done it, great instructor. Great position too being able to watch from restaurant.

We took a punt and booked this up as a last-day-of-holiday surprise treat for our children (7/11/13/15). The middle two were both a bit worried about the whole prospect but once they got the wet suits on they were fine, the initial scepticism of our 15 year old was literally washed away once he got wiped out on his first attempt (caught on camera!) and our youngest just couldn't wait to get going!

10 participants per session so everyone got plenty of surf time and all our children had a fabulous time. The trainer was excellent and knew exactly how to pitch his level of help to all the group, adults and children alike.

At first sight the pool looks maybe a little small but the water flow is (very) strong and all the activities were clearly well tested. Great fun and they all liked the dip in the hot tub too when waiting to try a stand-up surf. By the end our 15 year old was doing tricks (forward and sideway rolls) and the others were smiling more than any other day on the holiday! There is an excellent viewing area where you can sit with a drink and catch the action on film.

We're back in Padstow next year and will doubtless return here. One point to flag, the restaurant next to the pool looked good but was booked up; we didn't realise it was there so a good idea to book ahead.

Had an awesome day today when my dad and I went on the flow rider. Our instructor Ryan was fantastic and really picked up on little things I could do to do better and had plenty of patience. Thanks so much

We visited the flowrider whilst on my sisters hen do at Retallack Resort, a few of us had been on the flowrider before so we were seasoned pros... (fell over more than the beginners) but everyone really enjoyed the experience, the staff beforehand were a great help and told us all relevant information and even fixed my camera! (thank you!!) Our instructor was great and good at the flowrider himself, we spent the majority of the session on the body boards before then switching onto the stand up and taking turns in and out of the hot tub. I was surprised that my sisters London office friends rose to the challenge of initially putting on a wetsuits and then having lots of goes and getting very good on the body board, so you defiantly do not need water experience for the flowrider.

My only area of improvement would be slightly more coaching of just body position on the board, a lot of our friends were too far forward which made them create too much speed going down the ride, I ended up coaching them more than the instructor at some points. Saying this he was excellent on the stand up surfing. So thank you to the Loop team!
