“Excellent holiday in a fabulous house.”
Reviewed 1 November 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Broadleys is a wonderful holiday house that offers everything you could possibly want. Comfortable beds, good bathroom, beautiful family room/kitchen area and an excellent deck area. We saw whales while sitting here!! The house was well stocked with lots of quality appliances and plenty of crockery and cutlery.
Highly recommend this house for a getaway on beautiful Straddie.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed 19 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Clean and tidy accomodation on the hill behind Cylinder and Deadmans Beach. Nice outlook and good yard space for dogs (although the yard is on a steep incline).

Great for a extended Family getaway.

“Lovely Stay”

We stayed at Broadley's for a week with our dog and had a lovely time. It took our dog a bit to get used to the stairs - the main living area is on the third level so it's a bit of a hike for them to get outside to the loo. The house is in pretty good condition and in a nice spot. Probably the only negative was that there was quite a lot of dog faeces in the back yard presumably from previous guests. Overall it was a nice clean place and we would stay again.

“Getaway and enjoy the comforts of home”

This house is beautifully positioned on a north East facing block with great views of the ocean overlooking exotic bushland. Probably built in the sixtys or seventies but very nicely modernised with a perfect extended deck which is visited regularly by a pair of Kookaburas and a family of very friendly butcher birds. Quiet, serene and very comfortable with more room than you need. Beds are very comfortable and the house is clean and well equiped. For a quiet relaxing spell it's very hard to beat.

“Perfect place to stay in North Stradbroke”
Reviewed 15 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

I stayed at Broadleys for a week in Sept 2014, together with my partner and a friend. We all agreed that the house was the perfect place to stay in North Stradbroke, located right in the middle of Point Lookout, convenient to beaches and local pubs/cafes/restaurants with a great view from the covered terrace out to the ocean.

The house is enormous and able to accommodate a couple of families comfortably, but was also fine for the three of us. We basically lived on the upper level, which comprises 2 bedrooms, bathroom and a huge living area/kitchen as well as the terrace. Everything was provided for, apart from towels and bed linen, which made it easy to move in and out. Directions to the house were comprehensive and easy to follow. There is a driveway from the street to a double garage although as the slope was quite steep, we kept the car parked at the top without any problems.

The biggest advantage for us was that the accommodation is pet-friendly and our 2 small dogs loved running up and down the stairs and enjoying the terrace and fenced garden. Note that if your dog is not used to slatted stairs (ie which you can see through), they may need a bit of encouragement to climb them, however our puppy mastered them fairly quickly!

The surrounding area is very quiet and generally all you can hear is the sound of the ocean and the local birdlife - bliss!

All in all, would not hesitate to recommend this place and hope to return one day.
