We used this company before and were well pleased. Our last trip was just me and my husband. This one included our 4 kids and their spouses as well as our 6 grandkids ranging in age from 7-15 yrs of age. I was in touch with Elizabeth from Whale Watch Cabo to make arrangements. She was courteous and very helpful. I felt I’d made a perfect choice.
The main purpose of the trip was to share my love of whale watching with my family. This fine, family run company made that possible.
It’s very costly to arrange a trip for 16 passengers. The group sales price brought the price down and paying cash helped too. The price went from $80 pp to $56 pp. They also arranged for us to be in a larger boat. It comfortably held our large group. Motion sickness medicine and bottled water were included in the price if needed. It was a private tour.
Our guide, Lisa and Captain Santos were great! They made us feel safe and comfortable. Lisa was very knowledgeable, answering any questions we had. Captain Santos made the ride as smooth as possible. Still, you are in the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez. When you speed from one sighting to the next, it can get pretty bumpy. Safety regulations were followed.
Lisa offered to ask the Captain to stop moving anytime in case anyone needed to move from the front to the back of the boat.
We saw lots of humpback whales, sea lions, a sea turtle and dolphins.
On one part of the trip a humpback mother and calf were being relentlessly pursued by numerous boats. Lisa explained how stressful this can be to these gentle giants. There are regulations to avoid this troubling situation, but unfortunately many times they are ignored. We left to find another viewing site immediately. Once again, this company is very respectful not only to their clients, but to the magnificent mammals encountered in their daily whale watching trips.
Just before we were due to head back to the marina, we were surprised by 3 very active whales. We still needed to make a stop by El Arco and the sea lion colony nearby. Captain Santos graciously extended our tour so we could enjoy more whale action before we left. We are very grateful to our Captain.
Our marine biologist, Lisa, presented information in a way that both the adults and children enjoyed and learned from. Her excellent commentary entertained even those who didn’t enjoy the motion of the boat, helping to divert their attention. Lisa also took photos which were sent to us at no extra charge. This is not a common practice.
I highly recommend this company! You can feel that whale watching is more than a job to these folks. It is a passion they are eager to share.

We booked Whale Watch Cabo after reading the reviews and they did not disappoint! Our guide, Lisa, is a marine biologist. She made sure everyone was safe as she shared her extensive knowledge about Humpback whales. Lisa is a great photog too, taking over 200 photos of the whales and sharing them with us via dropbox at no extra cost. We saw a Mom and her baby calf, along with 4 other adult whales. The day ended with a stop at The Arch and Sea Lions. As we headed back to dock we even got to see the infamous Pancho the Sea Lion enjoying a ride on the back of a boat as he treated himself to some leftover fish. Pay cash and you'll save 15% + they gave us two drink coupons for one of the Marina restaurants (next to the dock). Side note: If you get seasick be prepared for a rough ride - and you will get wet. It was an amazing experience and we are so glad we did it!

We were lucky enough to attend a whale watching tour through Whale Watch Cabo. Our guide, Tania, made sure we were comfortable, safe, well cared for and provided a great educational experience. We saw 10 whales and were fortunate enough to see a mother and her calf. We also stopped to view the Sea Lions and El Arco, which was beautiful. Our guide took some amazing pictures, so we didn't have to worry about that either, and could just sit back and watch the whales. They were very respectful of the wildlife and their space. I was able to add on additional guests to our original booked tour, without hassle, which was greatly appreciated. They were quick to respond to my questions and emails. The covered boat ride can be quite bumpy, which they do warn about on their website. You are provided life jackets and water. I would highly recommend this company!

I arranged a trip for Sunday afternoon through email on the Saturday. The staff were quick and efficient responding to my enquiry and suggested a local transport service - Cabo Routes (who were cheap but professional and efficient).

The actual whale watching trip was fantastic. A small group of 3 whale watchers, Lisa (Marine biologist) and Julian (captain). We came across the first whale within 20 minutes. Shortly afterwards treated to humpback whales tail slapping, lunging, breaching for nearly 2 hours! They were accompanied by some bottle nosed dolphins.

It was such an amazing experience to be so close to the whales but without intruding or effecting their behaviour. It was definitely an "observing without disturbing" encounter. I would use them again and I've already recommended them to my friends as they are an outstanding organisation. Thanks for everything :)

Would highly recommend this whale watch experience. There were only 6 of us in the boat and the guide, a marine biologist, was so knowledgeable. We saw lots of whales which was amazing! They also send you amazing photos so you don't need to try and do this yourself, just enjoy watching instead. We booked online and paid in cash on arrival as they offer a discount. Well worth the money.

Hi there Yasmina!

Glad to read you really enjoyed your tour with us this season! Thanks for being part of the team and share your experience with others.
We are happy to learn more each day about the amazing humpback whales here in Cabo San Lucas. That is why we focus on research, educative tours while being sustainable. Small groups are the best option for a great whale watch experience —whales do not enjoy getting near bigger boats. Keep enjoying the sightings (pictures), we hope to see you again sometime in the future!

Kind regards
