I stayed in Casita #2 for three weeks in March. The casita was somewhat updated since it was photographed, with a sleeper sofa in the living room. The housekeeping staff were present as needed, not only to keep the casitas very clean, but also to help out with what guests needed to know, keep fresh water on hand, welcome us when we arrived, and check us out when we left. There was no question of their honesty and reliability. Calle Allende is a lovely block, charming, relatively quiet, and conveniently located, a couple short blocks to the Anche where one can obtain groceries, terrific salads and rotisserie chickens, flowers, and browse in the galleries and shops. There is an organic market a few blocks down, and some excellent eateries. It is an easy walk to the Jardin, the movie theater, the biblioteca and some of the larger galleries. The organic Saturday market is just a few streets down, and the Instituto, and a language school a few short blocks. Colonia San Antonia is quieter than the Centro, but bustling. Take a cab to the Tuesday market, the botanical gardens, and don't miss La Gruta, the hot springs. One of the other casita occupants was there for two months, the other had two sets of guests while I was there. All were good neighbors and interesting people. I have already booked for all of Feb and March of next year.

This apartment was clean, pleasant, well-outfitted and very convenient to San Miguel's Jardin and other attractions. The owners are very accommodating and the price is right.
