Kurisa Moya is a hidden gem about 4 hours from Johannesburg that provides one with the ability to really relax and simply enjoy natures beauty. The guided bird walk with David Letsoalo was an incredible experience. The flora and fauna is stunning. We stayed in the Farm House which is more than well equipped and although a large house, it provides a cosy farm atmosphere. Service all-round was excellent and the staff were all friendly. I can definitely recommend Kurisa Moya to anyone who is looking for amazing birdlife and spectacular trails.

Found this little gem and after research had very high expectations. When we arrived in the pouring rain and after a mini 4x4 drive (we have an eco sport which did the job perfectly) we were guided to our cabin and man!!!! Our expectations were not met...only because they were exceeded!!!! Such a gem hidden tucked away in the forest! It was secluded, quiet, quaint and surrounded by such beauty! It was a chilly weekend but the little fire place in the cabin just made it it fill so cosy! I would recommend it to anyone especially those city dwellers that need a complete switch off.

Had the most amazing time in this awesome Nature Lodge! We went for the guided bird walk and to see the biggest Cabbage tree! With all this beautiful nature, as well as a birders paradise. Very quiet and all within a natural rain forest.

My wife and I had 3 nights at this very special place and our expectations were exceeded! The wooden cabins are like something out of a fairytale. They are very well equipped and perfectly situated to sit and take in the surroundings or go for a walk on the many well marked paths throughout the forest. A walk with one of their birding ‘magicians’ is worth every cent.

We absolutely loved the environment... the forest walks are amazing and not too strenuous. The farm house is huge and comfortable with en-suite bathrooms. No power for a week is a slight challenge as all the gadgets (cycling, camera batteries, iPads etc) need re-charging. Missed the pool as we had great very hot days. Fridge was not optimal for the number of guests for a week (with no easy access to restock)
The patio is great and created a lovey "kuier" space for the family with lots of tables, comfy chairs and a lovely breeze to keep us cool. Great to have been able to take the dogs along (they loved the walks) and Lisa is VERY accommodating. Great birding guides and awesome sighting of Nerina Trogon! As a family we all agreed that we could have stayed longer... and that says it all!
