After being posted to Geoje to work with the family, this was where we stayed while the long-term accomodation was being sorted out (actual stay was Feb 2014).
The hotel is in Okpo, which is the more established and "happening" end of Geoje, very close to the DSME shipyard. It was about a 20-25 minute drive along Geoje-daero (highway 14) to get to the Samsung shipyard (which is where I was working).
At the time, the hotel felt very tired - everything was largely functional, but just all a bit worn out. I'm not sure if things have been addressed since my stay. The breakfast was good, but not excellent, but for what is largely a business hotel (it's DSME's hotel), it fits the bill.
If I had a choice of somewhere to stay in Geoje, I would probably choose the Samsung Hotel - despite it being at the other end of the island in Jangpyeong, it's close to Gohyeon, which is the second major commercial area in Geoje, and it's easy enough to get to Okpo if need be.More
