We heard of Ashdene House via a friend. We were thoroughly pleased. Annette and Gill made us very welcome.

Room was lovely and very clean. Some really nice touches. Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice.

Ate at a nice pub a short walk away which Annette kindly booked for us. That was great too.

Will definitely return.

I have been staying at Ashdene House for about four weeks now, usually three nights a week Monday to Thursday. It's a great place to stay for me as its not too far from where I am working.

I have now stayed in three of the rooms and have absolutely no complaints. The rooms are all very comfortable with en suite bathrooms. Tea making facilities and a TV are all standard. There is a lounge that you can use as well as a breakfast room. The B&B is run by two very lovely ladies who are always very helpful and know the local area very well. For drivers there is a small but adequate and well looked after parking area to the rear of the property. Price wise I believe it is very reasonable for the area and for the quality of the property and level of service.

I would happily recommend Ashdene House to anyone looking to visit and stay in the local area.

We returned to this B&B after five or six years, and Annette and Gill (new owners since we last visited) gave us a very warm welcome. Everything was spotless and comfortable.
The breakfast could not be beaten anywhere. It is quiet and peaceful, and yet on an excellent bus route to all the coastal villages. we could not use the garden at this time of year but could see that this is still an excellent feature as well. We will be back a lot sooner than our last long gap!

We spent three wonderful nights at Ashdene House, run by two lovely sisters , Annette and Gill. We were warmly welcomed with tea and cake in the lounge and as we didn't know the area , they gave us lots of tips and suggestions, which saved us a lot of time. They also loaned us local OS maps , marked by them with suggestions and also loaned us torches for our walk to the local pub for and evening meal. Both local pubs served good food but the Coach and Horses is recommended. The breakfasts were excellent. It was a shame we had to leave. We could not recommend this place highly enough. Well done ladies. Thank you for making our stay so homely.
