I stayed in Michael and Ruth's Aldea Zama condo for one perfect week. The condo is pretty much brand new, and was extremely comfortable. Everything I needed to cook, was supplied. Thoughtful things like tupperware, baggies, and good kitchen knives were a nice touch as well.
Michael and Ruth have thought of everything! Bikes/ headlamps/ beach chairs/ beach shade shelter/ cooler/ tablet/ Amercian Netflix (not Mexican....there is a difference!)/ a baby crib/ goggles/ bicycles....and the list goes on!
The King bed was exceptionally comfortable, amazing feather pillows, and luxurious sheets made for a wonderful sleep. Air conditioning in the living room and bedroom worked super well, but I barely had the need to use either as there are also ceiling fans.
Tulum town is at one end, and Tulum Beach is at the other end. The condo is right in between the two. The beach road is very long, and while I biked to the beach a lot, I chose Beach Clubs that were about halfway, as I only wanted to bike so far in the heat. I also rented a car, and there was always somewhere to park. Having a car is nice, but not necessary. The condo is in a new part of Tulum that is being developed. The nice thing about the location of this condo building is that it is a reasonable distance from the main road. Some of the condos are a few more miles in.
The communication when corresponding with Michael was great. Very warm, and accommodating people. I checked in with no issues.
This was a great option for my Tulum adventures. CLEAN! Super good wifi, close to the action, but quiet and relaxing. The condo felt like home and a lot of thought obviously went into it. I will be back!
