Sadly, the doors of this fantastic sushi place have closed for good and Kampai is no more. March 2018.

Kampai has one of the best selection and mixes of sushi I have tased so far! And affordable!
The place is a must visit if you ever come to Playa Del Carmen.

The restaurant was calm as we visited late at night. The service was good and fast.

The orders come in rolls meaning 8 or 10 pieces at a time, which is good if you are a group of 4 so you are able to enjoy more selections.
The mix of the flavors of the rolls was great, and subtile - expect for the rice crisps.
They have a soy sauce mixed with lemon and orange which is something to try.

The only two down points were that the lights were very dim which was a shame, and the kitchen closed without us being informed so we could not order more rolls and desert.
