My friends and I stayed for a few nights after now emerald was closed and moved us to this resort. Upon walking up to check in they took our temperature. After checking in there was a gentleman there that I thought was going to take us on a tour; however, only took us to the buffet entrance from the inside and then to the elevators. We tried to enter the buffet they second day from that same entrance to be told we had to go to the outside entrance. The rest of the service was great. We felt safe and wore masks inside or when walking in crowded sections by the pool or grill. They provided hand sanitizers in the room and by the elevator. I reached out to tito before the stay for assistance with my friends birthday. He even checked in on us while we were there. The views were great. The water was calm and be able to be swam or floated in. Id recommend taking a floaty (we used hammock like ones off Amazon that were small to pack and didn't require much air to inflate the pillows).
At dinner Martin was enthusiastic and the best server. He greeted us again the next day. Armando at the bar by the pool made sure we were taken care of. Communication was easy and I don't speak Spanish.
We had a fantastic trip. My friend and I had planned to extend our stay here but a mishap happened somewhere with the reservation and somehow it was cancelled even though now said they transferred us there so we had to go to a different resort. In comparison I'd choose this resort 100/100 times. I joked with my friends we should thank now emerald for being closed because dream sands was fantastic. Only wish we could've stayed there the entire trip.

We had the pleasure of getting a couples massage by Liz & Fernanda! Amazing experience we definitely recommend to anyone that is looking. Spa was 10/10 from start to finish!! Massage really helped us relax and we got the full experience as first timers. We will be back!
