This place is steps from the Angel de la Independencia in a street (Calle Rio de Lerma, just off Calle Rio Tiber) that is surprisingly quiet for this location. One can sit at tables along the street or go inside. Beers are on tap and there is a really good selection; we tried an ale from Scotland. There are small plates available as well as full meals. The selection is rather eclectic, but one can find plenty of authentic Mexican dishes on the menu. We shared several small plates and made a meal from them. Service is attentive. Recommended.

We had been looking for a micro brew during our stay in Mexico City. We had walked by this place a few times during peek hours and it was empty. We should have stuck with our gut instincts!
The waiter greeted us and asked if he could help us with our choice of beer. We accepted his offer assuming he was merely providing us his knowledgable and honest service. We each had 2 beers (which were ok at best) and asked for the bill.
The owner/manager? had been sitting next to us the whole time...the waiter came out with our bill, showed the owner the bill and he then initialed the bill? Having worked in the industry for many years this is an unusual practice. The bill was more than quadruple what you normally pay for a high end import in Mexico City. Our beers were $10 each!! We immediately asked to see a menu with prices, at this point the owner immediately got up and quickly went to the back of the restaurant to hide. The waiter said they do not have a drink menu, and nothing to show us with prices. The owner would not come out discuss this with us nor did they have any explanation. Just an awful experience on our last day in the city.

Had many small (150ml) size tastes sharing among 4 friends. Beer selection was limited and none outstanding. Appetizers were overpriced and poor. Don't get popcorn shrimp - horrible frozen balls of breading! Wings were undercooked (red inside). Definitely won't return. Service was good.

*** This review is for Polanco location on Masaryk ***

On a week night the place was virtually empty. Very well done interior, with cool oddities, such as faucets in the bathroom in the shape and function of beer taps.

Menu choices a varied and great. I had ceviche and swordfish tacos. Both were excellent. My friend had ribeye sandwich. Don't know about the taste but it didn't look as I imagined.

Beer selections are great - all craft beers from Mexico and Europe.

Service was excellent!

Thank Maxim B
