We stayed in La Brisas Beach Club rooms. We had a fantastic time. The rooms were clean, the food was good and the service was excellent. A very well kept resort and the best one we’ve been to since we started travelling every year. Highly recommend

Overall level of satisfaction was good. We were forewarned about the topography of the resort which is built into the hillside. While there is transportation pickups for those who wanted it, we preferred to take the steps and get some exercise. Resort itself was quite scenic and well maintained. Our room had some minor maintenance issues (door handle to bathroom was broken and door to the personal patio was difficult to open). The buffet had lots of options and we enjoyed most of the a la carte restaurants with the exception of the steak restaurant which we found to have slow service and the meal was mediocre at best.. We did go on two excursions: the waterfalls trip was good although we missed our pick up due to an error on timing from the organizer at the resort but the atv tour was not as advertised. We were told we would have ‘play’ time on the atv’s near the beach but did not. Also we’re promised snorkelling time but this also was not provided. I would not recommend this trip as most of the time was spent riding on roads with very little off roading. We spent most of our time at the beach which was nice. To get the premium chairs you had to be up early, like 6am, to get them. We got down there at 7:30 or so and had our pick of chairs so overall very happy with this. You could snorkel right off the beach but the color variation was not great but it was a great option. The service was excellent and language was not an issue.

If you are a potential snow bird looking for a place to thaw out, look no further. We spent one week at Las Brisas during reading week, February, 2019. Air Canada flies direct from Toronto. Las Brisas is by far the most beautiful resort in Huatulco (we toured the other resorts - they're generic, American-inspired concrete venues).

What distinguishes Las Brisas, firstly, is its position on a promontory surrounded by several beaches. Secondly, the architecture, designed by the great Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta, is organized as a cluster of hilltop villages, each with its own colourful water tower. The architect has created an experience analogous to being in Cinque Terre (which perhaps influenced him), in which vistas are carefully inserted through narrow passages between the buildings, and shadow and light are arranged to maximize a precise geometry. The backdrop to all this are the mountains, the cliffs, and the ocean.

Let's talk about food: it was superb. We couldn't get enough of the ceviche, guacamole, fresh produce, and free flowing alcohol. The various restaurants were a pleasure to visit. We also enjoyed the lounge in the village with the blue tower, where we hung out before dinner.

The beaches were excellent, particularly the one with the water sports - we went sailing, kayaking, and snorkelling. There is no big surf near the hotel, so very safe for children. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a little outdated but large wth a great view south, and the bathroom was large, clean, and comfortable.

Las Brisas has a certain solitude to it. It's not a big party spot, there's no shopping, etc. The guests seem to be focused on comfort. Time flows, you get into a rhythm of beach and water and food. The week went by faster than we could have dreamed.

This is a great resort. Anything from basketball. tennis, pickleball, soccer or swimming. If you enjoy walking you will be impressed by the hilly terrain. If you want to come and just relax you can ride in the carts throughout the resort.
The food is good and the workers at the resort are friendly, kind and very helpful.

Had a relaxing week at this beautiful resort ... Love the available chairs and space at the beaches and restaurants .. Great variety of food choices... Love the walking and stairs. Nightly shows were not as impressive as other resorts... But will definitely return!
