The cottage was perfect for our stay, We were visiting for a friends wedding and used the days around to explore Embleton and towns nearby. The cottage is very homely with a spacious downstairs and adequate sized bedrooms....perfect for 4 people. Lots of broachers/leaflets on things to do as well. Would certainly visit again!
Stayed here for 3 nights. Lovley little cottage. Theres a bench out the front which is a great little sun trap for reading a good book. Cottage has everything you need and ample space for two and a pooch. If you go to bed early. Saturday night can be abit noisy with folk leaving the pub, suppose if you can't beat them join them. Embleton is so cute. Gorgeous beach 10 minuet walk from the cottage. If you carry on walking you can make a day of it and go to Craster for a nice pint or two. (there is Dusterburgh castle on your way) Massively dog friendly.Went for tea at the Greys Inn and Sambuca both very nice. Also walked over to The ship Inn and Sat in the sunshine with a pint. Cracking little pub with lots going on and food isn't badly priced either. ☺ Spent the last day at Seahouses, if you time it right you can see a gorgeous sunset. Will be sad to leave this beautiful stretch of coastline behind. Worth a visit. ☺
We stayed for three nights with our teenage girls (and the dog) visiting friends in Embleton. The cottage was well-equipped, warm and comfortable with easy access to fantastic beaches. It was a great bolthole to explore the local area. Suited us perfectly.

This is a lovely cottage with everything we needed for a comfortable week. There were only two of us so plenty of room. The bed was comfortable and the shower over the bath was excellent. An airer was provided so we were able to dry our towels near the radiator. It was just starting to turn chilly and the heater was very efficient. My husband has lost his glasses and
John, the owner, was very helpful in checking to see if he had left them there. As others have said there are places to eat in
Embleton and we had a lovely lunch in the golf club when we had been for a walk on the superb beach. Had great fish and chips frkm the mobile van which comes to the village on Tuesdays. We would certainly stay here again if visiting Northumberland.
We had a lovely stay in this cottage located in the centre of the village. Everything you need for a self catering stay, quiet and, indeed, cosy. Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel, Greys Inn and Blue Bell Inn provide more than adequate local places to eat out. Great for cycling and walking. Embleton Beach is fabulous and there are plenty of others nearby. Golf course nearby. Visit Craster, Newton by the Sea, Alnmouth, Bamburgh, Lindisfarne/Holy Island and Warkworth. Travel to Seahouses for trips to the Farne Islands to Puffin watch. Take tea at Howick Hall. I would highly recommend this cottage.
