“A peaceful retreat, a real tonic.”

Very peaceful. Welcoming and attentive owners checked we had everything we needed. Perfect for families with young children with safe play area. We had good weather and the lavender in the adjoining house was still scenting the air. We ate overlooking fields, watching pheasants and rabbits. The wifi was excellent and the TV HDMI port allowed some Netflix etc. Good sized fridge freezer and clean oven and microwave. There was adequate kitchen utensils and pans etc down to the tin opener. There was welcome tea and coffee and some Norton's (their own) semi skimmed milk in the fridge. We were allowed a look around the dairy and enjoyed their St Swithin's cream cheese, which also made excellent holiday gifts. Our son is an undergrad vet and enjoyed very much the discussions with Jake about the workings of the dairy farm (whilst I enjoyed most petting the calves!) The water pressure (bore hole) is a little low but the thermostatic shower ensured a level temperature. The beds were comfortable. We were a little too warm because of the fine weather so perhaps some sheets or spare lighter quilts may be a good idea. Towels were not included- we forgot this but fortunately had brought some anyway for beach trips. The lounge was comfortable and had a plentiful supply of brochures on things to do. The property was very well situated for trips to the broads, the coast and the various nature reserves, including The Wash and the seals at Blackney Point. For inclement weather, there is a large number of historic buildings to visit including Sandringham, but we shall have to do that another time! We would return here if visiting Norfolk again. I suspect it may be chilly in Winter but as the weather was so nice, I wouldn't be able to judge that. Excellent value for money. Thanks Emily, Rona, Jake, Ruth and all and good luck with the future of the farm.
