This is a quirky little fisherman’s cottage over 3 floors. It is in an ideal situation yards away from the harbour and picturesque walks. The Kitchen/Dining room on the ground floor is well equipped and comfortable with an extractor fan. The first-floor bedroom and bathroom are small and once the storage problems are addressed will be perfectly suitable. Most importantly the bed is very comfortable. The lounge on the top floor has a very attractive feature stone wall which requires some maintenance and again will be enhanced when this is carried out. The TV is by means of an Amazon Fire stick which is rather cumbersome to use as it requires at least 9 presses of the button to access any channels with a delay some of the time. It is unable to receive both BBC Scotland and ITV1/STV channels. I suggested that the roof aerial be reinstated to fix this problem. The central heating controls are difficult to reach and again I have suggested an easy solution which I am sure will be implemented. A very pleasant stay and would have no hesitation in returning once the minor problems have been addressed.
The cottage was lovely. Small, but with 3 floors there was adequate space to spread out. Very friendly neighboring small convenience store and cafe.
St Monans is one of a series of pretty little fishing villages along this coast and the house is only yards from the harbour. It's ideal for two and would be OK for four, although being on three levels with steep stairs would not suit someone with mobility problems.
Really enjoyed my stay here. Laid out over 3 floors, it felt very spacious. Bed was superbly comfy, very modern bathroom, lovely décor throughout.
