We have been holidaying here for the past 4 years at different times of year. The accommodation is well equipped, clean, and comfortable, so I would certainly recommend this cottage. It is located in very pleasant and quiet farmland surroundings. The proprietors are always most welcoming and helpful. As for amenities, a local shop is available in Creetown. Supermarkets and speciality shops in nearby Newton Stewart. There are many walks and natural things to explore. Being remote, it offers darker night skies with spectacular star views. The roof window in this lodge is a bonus for doing that. The farm estate also has a beautiful trout loch which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. A good base for travelling around the Dumfries and Galloway region.

Stayed in the Lodge cottage for 5days with family/friends ranging in ages from 25 to 75. Cottage was fully equiped with all facilities. Owners were extremely welcoming and suggested places for us to visit whilst staying in Scotland. Beautiful surroundings and plenty to do for all ages. My favourite part was the stunning loch in front of the cottage which has ducks, geese and even a pet swan - made for very relaxing walks at any time of day.
Will definitely go back!! :)
