“Spacious comfortable well equipped accommodation and charming garden.”
Reviewed 17 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

This accommodation is adequately equipped for three couples and one single guest.
Securely enclosed garden equipped with picnic table, barbecue , and games equipment.
The conservatory, overlooking the garden ensures that even in bad weather one can enjoy a relaxing and peaceful setting. Also a wonderful entreat!

“A tranquil and family friendly place to stay”
Reviewed 29 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We had never stayed in Coldingham before and it was a delight to find a cottage that ticked all the boxes for comfort, space and importantly child friendly. The layout was great for the family with enough room to relax in and the garden became a perfect place to let the children run wild. But importantly have some adult time to sit in the sun with a glass of wine and just enjoying the bird song.
The house was in a great central location for more walks in the village, popping to the shop, secondhand bookshop or walking down to the beach. As for beach, well that speaks for itself, as the scenery is stunning. Plus not over-run so you can hunker down in the dunes with a good book or perhaps take a dip.
Anyway we will definitely be back now we have discovered this special place.

“superb cottage, very attractive garden, most interesting village”
Reviewed 21 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We rate this as one of the best holiday rentals we have stayed in. The setting of the cottage within a colourful, private garden and in the treed surroundings of Coldingham made it an outstandingly relaxing place for our five night break. Balfron Cottage has all that we needed.

One of our party is in her mid-nineties and quite frail; she found it easy to get about the house; the stairs are not difficult to climb and the banister is well positioned.

One nice extra touch is the great attention that the owner has given to explaining clearly how to work the household gadgets and where to find things, making the kitchen very easy to use.

“Delightful Cottage”
Reviewed 17 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Balfron. The cottage was spotlessly clean, cosy, spacious and very comfortable. The furnishings were of a high standard as was the bed linen and fluffy towels provided. Loved sitting in the Conservatory watching the wide variety of birds in the garden. The garden itself is huge and utterly beautiful. We didn't want for anything in this cottage - everything was there!!!

This is a beautiful cottage and you certainly won't be disappointed. Great location for exploring the area and it was nice coming back to a lovely log burning stove in the evenings - sheer bliss! We will definitely be back!!! Thank you x

“Relaxing in the Spring”
Reviewed 15 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

As the Sun warms the Earth in this tranquil place;
One looks back on initial 'Sea Fret' to examine the case.

In a cottage so neat within a village quite sureal;
Sunday Church Bells ring out, with a welcoming peel.

'Balfron' in 'Coldringham' fits this description methinks;
Everything to hand, just bring food and drinks.

A garden for animals, neat and ideal;
You will soon feel content and at home I feel.

It's early days yet, there is much to explore;
Believe me, sleeping six is much less than a chore.

Should something go wrong there's no doubt in my mind;
Response would be swift, for nought is lacking, you will find!
