The shepherds hut is called “the little idyll” and it really is. Inside, everything we could want and more. 5* quality and so thoughtful with surprises and little extras which made our stay so perfect. Outside, views which were so amazing that we felt relaxed within minutes. Dog friendly, a fantastic weekend - we will be back.
We were so welcomed by Sharon and her beautiful menagerie. My personal favourite was Mary the Welsh/Shetland pony! Sharon treated us to lovely extras and our breakfast delivery was incredible. A beautiful location with incredible views and the loveliest host. an absolute treat and a MUST stay destination. We will be back xxx
Lovely place to stay. Sharon is a welcoming host and she leaves a large number of goodies in the hut. We recommend the breakfast basket. In the evening light the fire pit and look at the view with a glass of wine, and toast the giant marshmallows. This is a really restful place to stay - lots of good walks nearby.
We had a lovely weekend here. The views are amazing, and the hut is really cosy. We took our dog with us, so really appreciated having our own little enclosed garden. He could explore without us worrying, and had a great time.
The best bit is all the lovely animals. The alpacas and rescue pony were friendly and so funny.
We didn’t want to leave!
Myself and my girlfriend visited for two nights and had the most perfect couple of days! Upon arrival, Sharon met us with such a warm greeting and introduced us to all the animals, as well as giving us advice of places to visit and eat in the local area.
The animals made this visit so much more special and our French bulldog loved meeting them all! Mary is quite a character and loved strawberries. Sid and the rest of the alpaca gang enjoyed apples whilst coco loved a carrot or two. The pigs also didn’t miss out on some vegetable treats.
The guy itself had everything you could ask for and really was cosy. Everything was thought of by the hosts including marshmallows for the fire pit and some great dvds!
Can’t recommend this place enough. Top tip: definitely take your wellies!
