Not like any other horseback rides/ excursions that I’ve ever been on. We were greeted by the owner, Linda, who treated us like we were friends visiting rather than guests on their property. Linda and Chris provided a great orientation about the horses, about their personalities, and how to interact with them. Unlike other horses I’ve seen during my travels, the horses at Pinetree Stables were healthy and well cared for. There are lots of cats and I do mean a lot, on the property. However; it’s their home too.
We were provided with water for the ride and offered helmets. The ride was very serene and tranquil. The entire experience was about 2 hours and some. The finale was definitely the ride along the beach. Beautiful!! Chris is taking pictures the entire ride and we got the pictures within 24hours.
This was great and I definitely would recommend that you include Pinetree Stables in your next vacation to The Bahamas.

We loved this ride. Great for any level - my daughter is an experienced rider and I never rode before. Fun hearing all about the eco of the area, too! They spoke at length with my daughter who is an enviro major at college. She loved that! Very knowledgeable tour guides. It was wonderful to receive all the photos later in the day of our ride!! I personally liked hearing the personal side of the farm. The walk in the water and on the beach was short, but saw stunning views while on a horse.

Chris and Linda are lovely humans who clearly love what they do! We had a great morning with them and their exceptional horses. They were so knowledgeable about the entire island and shared so much about the history of the the island, the environment and its people! We learned a lot and enjoyed the ride. Riding in the ocean was by far the highlight for us all!

My husband and I did the Pinetree Stables trail ride for our honeymoon. Our wonderful guides, Linda and Chris, took us on our very own private tour through the forest, past a castle, and on the beautiful beach with crystal blue water. Talk about romantic! They even took over 80 high-quality photos of us and emailed them to us the very next day--all at no extra cost!!! This tour was worth every penny! =)

Linda and Chris are the most outstanding people. They are so educated on the island and taught us nonstop for the three hours + we spent with them. They have the most gentle way with their horses which we loved. They taught us how to use our energy to guide the horses and how to treat them respectfully so they listen to you. I was floored. We’ve done quite a bit of riding and most places have you kick and pull the horses all over. These appaloosas here are very special. The ride itself was a full two hours through forest and on the beach. It was very very educational! We learned about everything we saw on the route, tons about the rich history of The Bahamas and the Caribbean and about traveling in general. My daughter takes horseback riding lessons twice a week and she absolutely loved this day we had at the stables. You get to interact with the rescued cats (there are 87 here right now) and they also rescue dogs! This trip is a must do while you are on Grand Bahama!!
