I enjoyed the location of this place--it's really close to downtown Nassau, the Straw Market, lots of souvenir shops, and a short walk to the Fish Fry and Junkanoo Beach. If you hike it a bit further it's possible to get to Queen's Staircase and some other stuff. In a way it was a bit of a drag that we ended up spending most of our time at Cabbage Beach on Paradise Island, since each (licensed) cab was like $15 there (or you can take an unlicensed cab for $3-4, or the ferry which is fun but slow). But on the other hand, it was totally possible to get there and we weren't marooned on the island all the time.
The private beach is nice, although it had a weird sulfurous smell, so we didn't spend a ton of time there. The hammocks are pretty sweet. I suppose if we'd spent more time we would've hung out there more. Reasonable, normal, clean rooms, although the shower stall leaked hardcore. Not a problem for our stay, but that's gonna erode the door eventually.More
