Stayed here for spring break with 3 families with teens. We stayed in Jost Van Dyke room 225. Great view of pool from balcony. Could watch my teenagers swim at night while drinking wine from my balcony. Bar at pool was awesome. Happy hour every day from 4-6pm with 2for1 drinks. Sunset Cove was the only restaurant on property. Food got old after a few days. Teen room had video games. Activities by the pool throughout the day. Night kayak tour pretty neat. But pricey. SUP yoga daily very pricey. Pool is great. Cove has access to Marriott Reef and Morningstar. A nice break from timeshare side. The Rave in the water was a blast. Decent snorkeling just off of our sandy beach. Ferry to shopping in St Thomas free. Don't go on a busy cruise ship day. Highly recommend chartering a boat to the BVIs for the day or taking the ferry to St. John to Trunk Bay for the day. Awesome vacation.

We loved our stay at this property. We have previously stayed at the hotel portion but loved this one much more. The views are great and the property reminded us of one of the Italian villages we've visited along the Mediterranean. The location is about 15 minutes from the airport and about 10 minutes from downtown Charlotte Amalie. You are also about 15 minutes from Red Hook which is where most ferries depart for the other islands.
We didn't spend too much time in the resort because we were exploring a different island each day. We did eat dinner by the pool one night and as with most of the restaurants on property the food was just average. There are too many amazing choices off property so it didn't make much sense to stay on.
The service we experienced was good and we had no trouble with parking. We loved staying in the Jost Van Dyke building because of the proximity to the beach and parking. The beach was gorgeous although we didn't spend much time besides that spent during sunset. We did go to the gym often and it was perfect for our needs. Our villa was incredibly comfortable and we liked that it had a washer and dryer.
Overall we would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful property. It's a great location and never once felt too crowded like the hotel portion did at times.

We were here in March 2016. First the good: The 2 bedroom condo was great, very comfortable, modern and plenty of room for our family of 4. The beds were really comfortable (worth mentioning since I feel like they often aren't in condos). The hotel staff in general were good (non-restaurant and bar staff were friendlier and more competent than the restaurant and bar staff). The location of the resort was good, it was our first time on St. Thomas and everything was pretty easy and accessible. Even on a full to capacity spring break week, we were still able to get umbrellas and chaises by the pool and on the beach as long as we got down there early. The property is well maintained, the beach is easy and fun, and the ability to use the other pools, etc at the Marriott hotel makes you feel like the resort if larger. The Marriott offers a service where you can have groceries delivered right to your condo and stocked for you when you aren't there, which was really easy and convenient. And St. Thomas and the other islands (get over to St. John and Water Island --they are incredible) are beautiful!
Now the bad: the food is amazingly bad. Like shockingly bad. Like--I can't believe that the people who own these timeshares put up with this food-- bad. It's frozen, Gordon Food Service, bad chain restaurant stuff. Really, really bad. After day two, we didn't eat another meal at the resort. Which isn't easy, since we didn't have a car. But they just have one casual restaurant down by the pool, and it's as bad of food as I have ever had. The service at the bar and restaurant was really spotty as well--these condos are fairly pricey for a week stay, and the restaurant in no way matches the quality of the condo or the resort overall. If they overhaul the restaurant (and add either a higher end option, a more casual take out place, or both) then the resort would really be perfect.

Room Tip: Go high for views or low for convenience to pool and beach--in between is not so great.

I have stayed here several times and always have a nice vacation. I am not a Marriott Vacation Club owner, i just go on line and book the resort when my family wishes to go. Much easier this way and I don't have to play all those games with Marriott "points". It was much better when Marriott offered assigned fixed weeks at a home resort. Also, I am not stuck with the relentless maintenance fees and the difficulty getting a top resort when everyone else is trying to use their points.

I was really excited to stay at this property, but was disappointed with several things. I will say that all of the staff (with the exception of the restaurant issue below) was really helpful and friendly.

The multi-floor layout of the property made getting around a bit time consuming and more complicated than expected. I knew it would be like this, but it was just odd. The layout of the property also meant that our balcony is overlooked parked cars/driveways/grills.

We were disappointed with the restaurant. We ate breakfast there, and the server was very overwhelmed. She just seemed bothered to even be talking with us. The kitchen made one of our orders wrong, Just overall a very slow and not friendly breakfast, which was our first impression of the property. We also ate at the hotel restaurants (Sunset Grill and Havana Blue) and the food and service were much better.

The pool area was very crowded, with no chairs available at all. The same was true at the beach. It seems like these areas are far too small for the number of units in the resort. We ended up going over the the hotel pool, and it was much nicer, less crowded, and had chairs available.

We have stayed in other Marriott and Westin properties timeshare properties, and this was my least favorite stay. For the price it was disappointed.
