Well this is a five star hotel. Was truly amazing -it was leveled during a hurricane and everything you see was brought in. There are 50ft trees everywhere

The atmosphere is elegant. The rooms are fantastic.

The staff are wonderful well trained and generally happy people. Whoever hires these people needs a raise.

Had a couples massage in a little building overlooking the water listening to the waves. It was the best massage either of us has ever had and a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Everything about the Ritz has five stars. The only negative is if you want a chair with an umbrella you probably need to get to the pool early to reserve it ;it’s first come first serve.

Concierge service is excellent and they will make reservations for you for an entire week in advance at all the restaurants both on and off property.

There is a catamaran that pulls up to the beach and can take you out for various excursions and there are all sort of water toys.

Literally got a Beach umbrella and lounge chair and slept all day outside.

This is an amazing property and I don’t know if it’s worth going anywhere else once you’re here. If you want beautiful ambience, Great food, excellent service, view of the water and just chill it’s not gonna get any better.

It’s not inexpensive but it’s also not three stars

I figured it was our 40th anniversary, covid has been really hard and I had a bunch of surgeries so what the heck.

If your idea of vacation is to have the least stress possible and the highest level of experience the Ritz is got you.

This is a place where if you buy stuff at the gift shop to drop it off in your room and you don’t have to worry about it showing up. Everything is designed to make it easy for you. Masking was required but it wasn’t a big deal. When you forgot about it they simply gave you one.

The beds are amazing and you could sleep all day listening to the water...

Have fun

The Ritz St Thomas experience was beyond my expectations. The staff, property and food was outstanding. The staff was genuinely friendly and so helpful. The restaurant Alloro was absolutely amazing. We dined there 3 times during our stay. You can’t beat the atmosphere of Alloro overlooking Saint John. The hotel room was large and very comfortable. We went on a Sunset cruise on the Ritz catamaran and loved it. A fabulous experience! We will come back!!!

Let's start with the awesome...The views are spectacular. The waters of St Thomas are just unbelievable and the Ritz is a very picturesque resort and layout. There was no detail missed in this massive buildout and landscaping. We were in the King Oceanfront Club Suite and it qas extremely comfortable for our family. The bed was exceptional. As with the other reviewers, I have to point at the service that did not hit the mark. There were some definite exceptions to this, however, it just doesn't hit the Ritz service that I studied in hospitality school. In the club lounge, alot of the items would sit empty with no one checking on refilling them. If I asked someone it felt as if I were asking them to some grand task. Island time really comes into play as well. That's to be expected, so no complaints here. One other thing. Pack your bathing suit in your carry on and bring your own sunscreen( they were sold out and the sunscreen they have at the pool is only 15 spf). There is a really good chance your room won't be ready when you get there...and having a swimsuit is a great plan b. I gave thisbproperty 4 stars for it's unbelievable views, beauty and access to beginner snorkeling. For Four Seasons pricing, you should get Four Seasons service. This is where they fall short. However, unrivaled beauty...

Quick note - it is the Ritz. It is expensive. Some of the other reviews seemed surprised. We found the room clean. Service was very professional. Water was nice, as pictured there is sea grass and some rocks. Water sports / crew at the lady lydsea were awesome. Grounds are gorgeous. It is a large campus but we were lucky to be in a great location.
Gym was great. Spa - my wife said one of the best massages she has ever had.

We contacted Pamela with Denver Travel for some options to stay in St Thomas to celebrate a 40th birthday and this hotel was on the top of the list.

Upon check in, Victor graciously escorted us to our room. We were starving so decided to order room service for dinner. The food was perfect and delivered before the 45 minute estimate.

Each morning we decided to visit Southwind for breakfast. As long as you’re not in a hurry, it’s a great experience. The ladies got to know our order after we ordered a couple of days and seemed happy to see us each day. The iced mocha is perfect!

There were plenty of beach chairs all day. We did notice pool chairs fill up pretty quickly. Beach service started around lunch, but we decided we wanted to eat at a table for lunch each day, so chose to leave our towels on our chairs and eat at Sails every day. Great service. The Baileys Banana Colada (BBC) is worth the $16.

Looking for water sports? This is the ideal hobie cat spot. Perfect winds and the bay allows you to feel safe and seems to limit the choppy waters. Felt bad for the paddle boarders and kayakers, however, as the winds blew them to the left.

The Sunset Sail may be your fondest memory of the whole trip. You’ll see folks boarding around 5 every night and will regret not participating. The views and vibe are worth the money.

We booked our dinner reservations for the week when we arrived and couldn’t find a reservation earlier than 8pm so I suggest calling 2 weeks prior to your arrival to see if you can make reservations. We chose Coconut Cove and Alloro, both walking distance from the hotel. Expect fine dining prices and experience. We would have liked a more casual less pricey option as we prefer that when we eat out.

If you need a cab, they have them onsite. I believe it’s $5 per person to Red Hook. You can just walk up to the front desk outside and request one.

Overall, our family agreed this was the best vacation we’ve ever taken. The staff was friendly, shout out to Pamela who seemed to pop up wherever she was needed. The property was beautiful. The beach was perfect. The rooms were clean. The famous beds are so comfortable. If you read the reviews before this, ask yourself what your 5-star standards are and maybe take what they say with a “grain of salt?”
