Took a day trip over from the boardwalk to Rainbow Beach as we had many recommendations to go check it out. We went via taxi which our charged us 15 a person but our friends that left 10 mins behind us in another taxi was charged 10 dollars so definitely haggle price. We arrived at Rainbow Beach but from the outside of the entrance is a run down road and doesn't look like on the other side should be a beautiful beach. The day we went the water was rougher then our daily beach. We rented chairs and umbrellas which is a must; I would say so you have some shade if need be during your stay. We rented a paddle board but being ot was a little rough was a bit tough to use but all the kids had a great time and the young man that rented it was super helpful and helped my youngest get on her feet. He also didn't mind that we kept it for 3 hours as I guess no one wanted to rent it. We order some apps and of course lime in de coconut. The drinks were so good and all the food was delicious. Nachos, Fish Tacos, blackened Mahi bites and Chili cheese fries. The fries were hand cut the drinks were fresh. There fish tacos were lovely and the Mahi with the ginger sauce was tasty. We had a fun day at the beach, it is for sure a day trip that works for the whole family. So pack up the cooler for kids and make a day of it as it was fun for all ages.
