We had a fantastic time. I traveled with 6 people total, we booked three rooms. We booked using the AAA discount and got free breakfast for all of us each day. The breakfast was fantastic, the staff is amazing. This resort usually has a way larger staff, and during covid/ post hurricane they have very limited staff. So if you are patient and friendly you will have an amazing experience if not you won't. Overall relatively clean and comfortable considering Island/ first year being open since the hurricane. RENT A CAR, to fully enjoy the island. The hike to the tide-polls is well worth it. Be kind and patient, understand things will be rugged and a little more low key and you will enjoy yourself. We did take a cab one night too, that the hotel arranged. That was fairly easy just expensive.
*the one negative thing I will say is the manager or what the staff call "commander"; did hound us at the breakfast bar and scribble out our breakfast tally and try to charge us for more breakfast. So maybe keep track of that and your tab. Not sure if he just judged us because of our apperance but it happened, and was the only negative experience.More
