“An almost-perfect island hideaway”

My wife and I spent a week at the Ballyhoo Cottage to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were very pleased with our choice to visit Provo, and pleased with our selection of the cottage.

Overall, I would say that the photos and information on the TC Villas site does a very good job of conveying how lovely and well-equipped this cabin is. The location is very remote without being inconvenient. And the beaches are rustic without being unenjoyable. The management staff is also very helpful, as they quickly resolved a maintenance issue that popped up during our stay.

I would like to make other guests aware of an issue with the location that could be bothersome to some. The cabin is located beside the entrance to the Turtle Bay Marina. While the boats were lovely to see, the canal cut to allow entry into the marina requires constant maintenance. A work crew was there every day, pumping out sand and hauling it off on dump trucks. Also, there is a large parking area used by the crews and by other visitors who come to snorkel. The two added up to provide a constant level of equipment and traffic noise almost all day. This was not a major issue to us, as we were out roaming the island most every day. However, it was annoying on afternoons when we tried to enjoy the hammock or pool.

Overall, the cabin is a lovely place to spend your visit to Provo!
