Reviewed 27 August 2017

My family of six spent seven nights at the Venetian in August of 2017. From booking through checkout, the experience was perfect. So much so, that I am leaving my first review on TripAdvisor to encourage other families to choose the Venetian. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, thoughtfully decorated, spotless, and elegant. The grounds (including the pool and surrounding areas) were incredibly well-groomed and and beautiful. The beaches were perfection. The best part about the Venetian is its location. Situated next to a nature preserve, we were frequently the only people on the beach or in the pool. There are no restaurants on the grounds, so one must walk to the hotel two facilities away or drive/cab to a restaurant. Personally, I chose this facility because of this and not in spite of it. We were looking for seclusion and we got it. We look forward to coming back next year!

Having just read a negative review entitled "THE BIG SCAM" I had to write a review of this property to enlightened those that may have been influenced by such an unreasonably pessimistic review (look at the reviewer's past reviews, one will see a negative taint in all).

The Venetian compares favorably to several Ritz Carlton Residences where I have had the pleasure of vacationing. The condos are relatively new, CLEAN, tastefully furnished and are nicely situated on the eastern end of Greece Bay, on perhaps the least crowded beach along the bay. Furthermore, the negative reviewer complained the price of the unit was unreasonable given the quality of services received. There are a number of full service suite hotels that have more ammenaties - but they are DOUBLE THE PRICE!

The property's website and reviews all point out that there is no restaurant on site. There are several within 3 minutes walking distance, one of which serves food and drinks on the property's beach via very friendly servers. In the worst case scenario one will be forced to walk 100 yards on a gorgeous Caribbean beach to reach a restaurant.

The staff that works the reception area is friendly and attentive. They were more than happy to schedule various activities for my family. I would imagine the staff to be more than sufficient to all but the most needy. It is very easy to find restaurants and activities online. The rooms, beach and fitness center all have WiFi.

I would highly recommend renting a car at the airport (make sure the rental company has cars onsite - I used dollar). The cost of a round trip taxi for a family of 4 is approximately $160 (4 people x $20, twice). The cost of a car for a week is approximately $250. So for the $90 difference you have use of a car (driving in the left lane) to visit the famous Caicos Bakery nearby, the ultra modern Graceway supermarket (which is on the way to the resort from the airport), shops at Saltmill Plaza and the many beautiful restaurants located throughout the island.

The condos are all three bedroom units (not sure about the Penthouses) that can be rented as 1,2 or 3 bedroom units. Each unit has a master bedroom with bath, a double twin bedroom with bath, and a queen bedroom with bath. To customize your unit 1 or 2 of the bedrooms could be locked to cater to the size of one's group. In our case we occupied the master plus the twin bedroom, if we had wanted an extra bedroom it would have cost approximately $200 more per night. The living rooms are equipped with sofa beds as well. The units have an added half bathroom, laundry room stocked with detergent and a large open space consisting of a full kitchens stocked with coffee and water, dining area and living room. The patio is adjacent to the living room and master bedroom overlooking the beach.

The beaches on grace bay are calm and have sandy bottoms which are ideal for long swims or relaxing on provided floats. Snorkelers will have little luck finding interesting marine life. There are many water activities nearby and most companies send a boat right to the beach to pick up guests. The beaches on Grace Bay are roped off at about 100 feet as there are many boats ferrying passengers to snorkeling adventures, parasailing, personal sail boating, etc..

Hope this review is helpful. I give this property 5 stars considering the reasonable price of the suites. I always have to smile when some complain about the prices in the Caribbean! One has to pay the price to vacation in Paradise! If one complains about prices maybe one should have stayed home.

Room Tip: I would ask for a corner room

I am astonished over all the rave reviews this place have here, we arrived as a couple on a Thursday afternoon, looking very much forward to 5 days in our Hotel in Paradise.

Now this is NOT a hotel, there are NO services, not even a bar or restaurant, or a minibar in your room, absolutely nothing !

When I asked the people who are occasionally presently in the lobby what this really is, they call it a Condo hotel, that is a gross exaggeration, the only " service " they provide is daily cleaning of your room, so a serviced apartment is a more apt expression, you need to walk off the property for anything you want, food, drinks etc, go to a bar or restaurant, this becomes tiresome, so you need to take a taxi to the supermarket and get stocked up on breakfast, lunch dinner items and some wine and beer, anything !

So being a bit confused about this concept which we are paying 4 figures USD for every day, I saw on the website that there is a concierge in the " hotel ", so I wrote him/her 4 times on our arrival concierge@venetianongracebay.com, that sounded good and expected our travails would soon be over.

But there is no Concierge at the Venetian, if you send an email to that address it goes ? I don´t know and neither do any of the staff, including the onsite Manager.

So if you are up for independent condo living with zero services available this could be a good, albeit VERY expensive option for you, in all fairness, I asked the Manager to recommend me a Spa on the Island, and she recommended the The Sands, so I booked 2 X 90 minutes facial treatment for the next day, we took a taxi there and had a very good treatment there, only problem came when it was time to pay for this, usd 800 for 2 X 90 min facials !!!! are they insane ?

I have travelled worldwide, and tried Spa services worldwide, and in all my years I have never encountered a Spa service so ridiculously expensive.

Ont he website it is also mentioned that they can arrange for a Chef to come to your " condo " and cook for you, and as we had a big birthday coming up, I thought this would be a romantic way to celebrate that evening.

Now Chef is a large word to use for that service, now the " Chef " arrived, and we agreed on a menu, and she had to be given money to buy the ingredients, a bit unusual, but in line with everything else there, so did that, but this is no Chef by any stretch, it´s a housewife cooking for strangers for money, complete waste of money, what she did in 4 hours I could have done in 1, so don´t fall into that trap.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our hotel on Tripadvisor. We work hard to position ourselves as being a luxury condo resort on Grace Bay beach in Providenciales, and are sorry that this messaging didn't come across to you when booking your stay with us.

Our condo resort offers a wonderful blend of the 'home away from home' feeling coupled with some (not all) of the amenities of a full service resort. Our fitness center, tennis courts, massage room, pool, daily housekeeping and beach amenities round
off our guest experience and because we don't have a restaurant/bar on site, our guests are encouraged to try one of three restaurants within a three minute walk to our property, or take a 5 minute drive into the heart of downtown Grace Bay where there is a host of restaurant options.

Our front desk staff are always willing and eager to assist our guests to book restaurants, tours, activities, car rentals, or anything else that they may wish to ensure that they have a great time on our island.

Again, we're sorry that we weren't able to make your stay with us more pleasant, but thank you all the same for providing valued feedback which we always review for our ongoing training and development efforts.

This being my second stay at The Venetian @ Grace Bay it just has everything that I want and never disappoints. It starts with Coleen and her friendly staff who made reservations and made check in simple and easy . My group of 4 took full advantage in the most beautiful part of Grace Bay and its CRYSTAL CLEAR Warm waters of the Caribbean which was perfect this time of year. Its stunning to wake up in the morning to the blue waters and fresh breeze. Had plans to go to more beaches off site but found ourselves staying at the resort. Tours will pick you up right off the beach, all other water sports are offered. Located within minutes of all of our favorite spots to dine and shop. Thanks Again Venetian! We will return very soon.

Room Tip: We like the lower floors because it has easier access to the beach. Cooked most of meals in the well...

I don't even know where to begin with this beautiful resort. The Venetian at Grace Bay is perfection. From the moment we walked in the lobby and were greeted by the wonderful, gracious, kind, informative, friendly, helpful Terrea, we felt at home. She knew we were exhausted from our late flight and didn't bother us with anything that most hotel employees do at check in. She let us know exactly what we needed to know for our first night: she gave us a cell phone to call her at any time if we needed anything (pure excellence), walked us to the restaurant, and told us the wifi password.
The entire staff, including Ornella and Colleen, was so lovely and helpful. Ornella helped me over the phone and online to book our trip. She was extremely nice and accommodating at all times. She even asks you for a grocery list (for a small fee) so the refrigerator is filled with whatever you need right when you check in.
The 3 bedroom condo we rented was clean, gorgeous, and modern. It has a full kitchen, laundry room, and a ridiculously huge balcony. The best part of the balcony is that it is covered completely with a screen. Not one insect could get in and attack us.
Where should I begin with the view? We stayed in room 603 and could not get enough of the turquoise water. We looked at it in awe daily and kept repeating how we couldn't believe its perfection in clarity and color.
Everyone at the resort and the ENTIRE island are extremely friendly and caring. We could not believe how kind and welcoming the islanders who live there were. They randomly say hello and start a conversation. Our taxi driver (Scotty) was such a gentleman checking up on us and giving us tons of information about the island. Everything is close by and easy to get to by car/taxi.
I can't wait to come back to this resort and this tranquil island. It was the best vacation of my entire life!!
