This is the very best place, I am convinced, to stay on St Vincent ! The location is fantastic, and not just for the views, as its also in a great position to explore St Vincent, as well as a good base for exploring other neighbouring islands too.
We totally loved the extensive outdoor decks outside, the roomy high vaulted interior inside and you just couldn't have better sunset views. If your aim is for serious relaxation and wind down, this is definitely your place. The pleasant cooling breezes across the veranda, also kept the local mosquito population well reduced.
It is located on a small, peaceful estate, which gave us a feeling of totally security and safety, at all times.
Airport is just a short 20 -25 mins - the capital, Kingston less than 25 mins, and main supermarket (Masseys) 20 mins. I would recommend hiring a car (but not from AVIS) as there is quite a long driveway (a mile ?) from the main road, however, you could get by if you walked the shorter route along the beach to the marina (where there's a small supermarket, and choice of 3 eateries) - 15min easy shoreline walk. Take a torch if you intend to walk back after sundown, which we did several times in the twilight.
The interior of the cottage is well designed & equipped - pretty much all you need is provided.
Aircon and shower pressure/temps good. Hot tub was not operational at the time but this was not something we missed at all.
Wifi good, and reasonable choice of TV channels (better than some Caribbean rentals we've experienced) - though don't expect Sky Sports etc !
Beds comfy and plenty of storage, modern bathrooms (mirrored in both guest rooms).
The owner was very helpful and accessible.
A choice of small beaches nearby (some more sandy coloured than others) and a kayak, which my teens enjoyed taking around the bay.
Bring water shoes if swimming/snorkelling, as there can be sea urchins in places.
There is a laundry room on site, and the cleaner came each week day (included in the price, but tipping recommended) and she was excellent.
We spent 10 days here, and wish we could have been there longer.
Only improvement - perhaps a double bed that could split into 2 proper singles for families with older kids in the second bedroom?
Only negative - going home !
The luxury cottage was in a very convenient location - right on the water by the marinas and restaurants at the southern tip of Vincent and near (but not too near) to Kingstown. The cottage had two large and comfortable bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms complete with quality fixtures and finishes. The open-concept kitchen and sitting area overlooked a large wrap-around deck and was right over the water - lovely views, beautiful sunsets. We could walk along the beach to a couple of restaurants for breakfast or dinner or find other restaurants a short drive away. Guy and Sophie were very accommodating and friendly. The luxury dock cottage was a very good value for the price and we would definitely stay here again.
