“Great location, great property”
Reviewed 13 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Stayed for a week with my husband and 3 year old daughter. The property was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and furnished. We were unaware that towels aren't provided but after phoning the owner she arranged for some towels to be delivered that evening.
My daughter loved playing in the garden and watching the cows, horses and rabbits in the adjoining fields. The patio benefits from being in the sun until late.
Madryn is in a great location, just a short walk into the village and to the gorgeous beach.
Aberdaron has the best chippy we've ever been to and a lovely bakery and cafe.
We hope to return next year.

“Fantastic stay”
Reviewed 12 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Both Madryn and Aberdaron have the Wow!! factor in abundance. The cottage is beautifully decorated and equipped and spotlessly clean, with a perfect back garden with the scene being completed by a herd of cows in the field beyond which occasionally came right up to the fence, which with an 'almost one' year old in our group was a bonus! On the subject of very young ones, Madryn also boasts a very spacious travel cot and a high chair, all set up ready for us on our arrival - Brilliant!
Aberdaron, for us, was perfect, a small village feel, really quiet and peaceful (although we were there before the school holidays so it may be a little different then), and at times it felt as though we had the beach to ourselves. For some the bus service may be a little spartan, but as seasoned public transport users we were able to get out and about every day and pass through other villages from pretty much every direction possible, which was part of the fun for us!!
We had a really great time in June 2015 and fully intend to return. Thank you Ali and family for sharing Madryn with us!!

“Fabulous cottage in Aberdaron”
Reviewed 10 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We stayed for the first week in June in this lovely well appointed, very clean and comfortable cottage in Aberdaron. Stunning views and only 5 minutes walk into the village. So peaceful and relaxing which is exactly what we both wanted. Everything you needed was there, I particularly loved the large table in the kitchen/diner where I spent a happy hour or two doing my jigsaw puzzle. Lots to see and do in the beautiful countryside around you don't need to venture very far. Ali provided some useful information before we set off which enabled us to do our shopping en route arriving with everything we needed. Can recommend the food in The Ship Hotel in Aberdaron, very welcoming and friendly. The late check out of 12 noon meant we didn't have to rush around on leaving and in fact would have loved to stay on for another week. Will definitely go again.

“The perfect holiday accommodation for adults and children.”
Reviewed 29 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Madryn is in a beautiful position in Aberdaron and not very far from the centre of the village and the beach. My grandson age 19 months was with us and this was his first visit to the sea. He enjoyed everything and when we came back to the cottage it was a safe place with horses in the field at the back of the garden. As long as the front gate was shut he could wander about safely. The facilities were excellent: a comfortable lounge with a funky TV, 2 bedrooms, bathroom and one fantastic kitchen. There was everything you would be likely to need. Because of having such a young child we ate at the cottage quite a lot and cooking was easy because of the range of utensils and crockery. I would highly recommend Madryn to adults or families. It's a lovely walk down to the village and the sea - a bit harder on the way back though!
