“Spectacular condo, great location and incredibly gracious owners!!”

This was the absolutely perfect venue for a family reunion and Christmas get-away 22-27 Dec, 2017. I feel very fortunate to have found this brand new beautifully decorated 4 bed room luxury condo located just a short walk from Seven Mile Beach along Crand Caymen’s Western shore. We were hosted by Morne Botes & Shani Petzer who made our stay an absolute delight by the way the condo was furnished and the warm welcome we received.

We booked the third floor (penthouse, with stairway access) condo primarily because it had four bedrooms & baths, and was close to the beach as well as just a short drive to the DiveTech scuba site on (Lighthouse point). Even before arrival it became clear that we got a lot more because one of our hosts (Morne) provided very helpful info for first-time visitors and also ensured that the condo was configured for our specific needs (4 BR instead of 3 plus a media room). This was all very helpful as we had a fairly busy 5 days planned.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Morne who gave us a very useful quick tour of our condo as well as the facilities to include a beautiful roof-top area complete with very comfortable furniture and BBQ as well as the pool & cabanas, also with BBQ.

The condo itself was much more that we ever imagined or could appreciate from the pics which don’t capture the beauty. We’ve rented other shore properties but this was by far the absolute best!! The furnishings are truly luxury home quality, as was the artwork and design features all perfectly suited to a tropical paradise. Every need was anticipated to include a gourmet kitchen fully stocked with top-of-the-line cooking and serving ware, plentiful and luxurious beach towels and towels for the four bath rooms, and a washer/dryer tucked behind a sliding door. All of the beds were extremely comfortable, even the bunk beds with uncharacteristically high-end mattresses as well as the one conversion bed in the media room that we used. Zoned AC throughout let everyone adjust their rooms to personal preferences, and the two balconies provided a wonderful outdoor dining area (on the patio off the living room, that we used for breakfasts and dinners) as well as another off the master BR just for lounging. Having Foster’s grocery store right around the corner made shopping easy (but note that stores are closed Dec 24 & 25). The beach was very convenient just a walk down the driveway, across Boggy Sands Rd. then a short gated path between houses. There was some intrigue with the gate locks, which Morne got sorted out with the responsible neighbor while we were there. Then condo pool area is also stoked with beach chairs, umbrellas and “play things” like a paddle board, kayaks, and various surf boards. Next time we’ll plan more time to use more of these.

One comment about cost: for us, needing 4 BRs, this condo was an exceptional value compared to the cost of having booked rooms at even a mid-range hotel. The bonus here was that we could all be together sharing the common areas, so getting a lot of high quality family time.

What added to overall enjoyment of time spent in this truly spectacular spot was Morne’s personal touch - the warm and helpful initial greeting, his availability via texting even over the holiday, a surprise delivery of gourmet croissants, and his warm farewell. Our overall experience was so wonderful as a family and also individually that I’m sure we will be back, ideally next month but it will have to be a little longer!

Stayed at Boggy Sands with my husband and my in laws and the place was amazing. From the start Julia made it easy for us. She was always quick to respond to my emails and messages. She even stocked up the fridge for us with food since we arrived on a Sunday. The house is a quick 2 minute walk from the beach (its right across the street). It feels like a private beach and it was easy to take the kayaks and paddle boards to cemetery beach and snorkel right outside. My husband and his dad went scuba diving right outside our house and my sister in law was able to kayak to the Ritz and go parasailing! The place was amazing. The house is clean, the furniture is nice, and the location is great.

“Great relaxing vacation!”

My husband and I stayed here with another couple. We had an amazing time and the condo was exactly what we were looking for! It was clean, well maintained and comfortable. We loved sitting out on the porch. It was a quick walk to the beach which allowed us to come in for lunch every day. The apartment had chairs, umbrellas, a grill, and the use of a stand up paddle board. We were also really happy with the location of the condo. We were able to take a bus into town for $2 a person for dinner, but felt like we had our own private beach. Walking along the beach it also seemed liked the nicest beach in the area. There were a few restaurants within walking distance and a short cab ride to others. Also, we found it really helpful that the supermarket was almost next door, allowing us to make multiple trips to restock! The one thing to be aware of is that the supermarket is closed on Sundays, and since we arrived on a Sunday, we couldn't buy anything until Monday morning.

“Best Christmas vacation ever”

We would highly recommend this home for your next Cayman vacation. Morne was an excellent host - full of suggestions to make our vacation unforgettable. He lives with his family on the island, so is nearby for questions or if an unexpected need arises. We traveled with twin grandchildren 20 months old and he had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The unit was upscale, comfortable, excellent location, within walking distance to a grocery. We wanted a more private location away from the cruise ships and crowds of Georgetown, and this location was perfect. We did not rent a car, although in hindsight we probably will next time. The shuttle from the airport was around $90 for us each way (6 adults, 2 children). We caught the bus just outside the property for a ride into Georgetown one afternoon, so public transportation is convenient and affordable. This truly is the best kept secret on Grand Cayman, and we hope to return again.
