We enjoyed my birthday dinner at the Brasserie. It is off the main drag just outside of Georgetown by the Cricket fields. The food was great, prices comparative to most upper scale restaurants on the island (you'll pay around $100US for a good meal for two). We had an appetizer, iced tea (hey, they charge you for refills so watch out!), and steaks. Hubby had dessert and I have my birthday (free) dessert. Our only complaint was about the other diners - loud, loud! Hey people, it is a nice place and some of us want a quiet conversation so have some manners! Another cool thing about this restaurant is that they grow their own herbs and produce! Love that!

I went to The Brasserie for a business luncheon. Several of the attendees said that they were on a tight schedule and The Brasserie sent wait staff over immediately to help us.

The bread basket was divine - a combination of multi-grain buns and flatbreads. Instead of butter there were bowls of hummus and oil with toasted chickpeas as a dip.

I had steak and frites. The steak was wonderful. I like it rare and they weren't afraid to serve it rare. The steak was dressed with a savory persillade that was amazing and went perfectly with the meat. The frites were long crispy shoestrings that were great.

The desserts were excellent -- the ice cream tasting menu and creme brulee are wonderful.

A great lunch place with great food and excellent service.

Good selection of food and friendly staff made this restaurant and nice experience. Prices are a bit high for lunch and the ordering area is cramped and noisy. Other than that worth the visit if you are in the Georgetown area.
