Description: Macabuca Oceanside Tiki Bar & Grill is a great place to enjoy the Caribbean Sea and watch the sunset... or the divers. Be sure to try our signature Macabuca Punch made with 5 rums, passion fruit and ginger ale, you won't be disappointed! Serving appetizers like the conch ceviche, conch fritters, calamari and coconut shrimp & our signature curry, fish & chips and the Big Maca Burger; there's something for everyone. Don't forget to leave room for dessert, our homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches are a great way to finish up a hot day in the sun. We are located just a block past The Cayman Turtle Farm or Dolphin Discovery on North West Point Road in West Bay.

We ate here twice while on island for a 10-day stay. We rented a house on the beach on the East End and spent a day in West Bay snorkeling, ending with dinner at Macabuca. We had been here on previous trips and loved the food, service, and view, so we made a point to come back. It was just as good as we remembered and we came back again on our last full day on island.

Macabuca is the only bar/grill on island I have been to (and I've been to a LOT since I've been on island 6 different years) that is NOT on the annoying "island time". They never make you feel the least bit rushed, but they provide excellent service. We have never had to wait and wait for someone to come take care of us like is so common at many restaurants all over the island.
We always eat at the downstairs bar/grill, but there is an upstairs restaurant that is more upscale called The Cracked Conch .

We have had various items off the menu including fish, coconut shrimp, chicken quesadillas (my husband's favorite) and of course the fabulous Buca Kiss cocktail. ;)

You eat overlooking the ocean with a sunset view for dinner and can watch divers and snorkelers going in and coming out. Overall a wonderful place. I'll come back next time I'm on island.

Monday is all you can eat bbq night. Very busy, but seated right away. Great view over the water. Great drinks. Good salads. Really enjoyed the ribs and chicken. Awesome sunset. Hasn't changed much in the last five years. That is good. Will come back again.. Kids enjoyed watching the nigh - time scuba divers head out from the dock.

Maybe this is a diver hang out... don’t know, don’t care. I won’t go back.
After touring the island, meeting locals and being treated graciously in general, we had the distinct misfortune of buying a drink from these clowns.
Heck maybe if I was a fat, bald, white dude bartender in Grand Cayman having to slinging drinks for tourists... I’d be a jerk too.
Anyway, we had eaten elsewhere and had a good idea what dinner and a beer cost on Grand Cayman, these clown wanted $10 USD for a Caybrew draft.
So... you want poor service at jacked up prices? This is your place.

First, Please accept our apologies. These reviews are taken very serious and obviously you are very upset. If you could, please email us directly so we can get more details of your visit. Our email address is conchrest@gmail.com.

As for the $10 USD beer, we do serve our draft beer in 22 oz mugs when most places serve in a 14-16 oz "pint".

Absolutely no excuse for the attitude you received so please accept our apologies and we look forward to hearing more.

Respectfully
Management

2 trips to Cayman and this is one of my favorite spots. Fast, friendly service with an awesome view. The menu is filled with a variety of different options. We love the tuna tacos, hamburgers, all the salads, and the curried seafood or chicken. Fun place to eat or drink! Fantastic homemade ice cream sandwiches!
