I get it. Sometimes it’s just nice to brag a brew or a ‘Rita and look at that blue blue Cayman water, maybe cool off from the balmy 82 degrees and take a break from shopping...

We’ve done it. Been here 2-3 times but this last time was the worst! Georgetown was mad packed with cruise ship folks; there were FIVE in town, so we should have known better. We were lucky to get seated. We just got a bunch of appetizers and drinks - onion rings, fries, wings, nachos... the wings were good but too spicy for the kids and the nachos were just yuck...

Probably won’t go back when it’s that busy again!

Although you are probably quite accurate about being in town during 5-6 cruise ship days, we pride ourselves in still being able to deliver great service and food. Our apologies for not living up to our normal standard. If you are still on Island, please stop by again and give us another try.

Stopped in this afternoon for an Appetizer and Drinks. Service was nothing short of horrible. Appetizer came before the drinks, it took so long to get the drinks that we were already done eating. We had to chase our waitress down to get the drinks and then one of them was wrong. It was obvious they could care less about the service. I would suggest you take a pass and pick one of the many nearby spots.

We are so sorry that you didn't get to experience our normal amplified service. We strive to meet that objective with every Guest interaction. If you would like to talk offline about any other specifics, it would be most appreciated. In any event, we will use as a learning experience to improve. You can email me at tim@hrccaymanislands.com

We stopped in to the hard rock for a few drinks during pirates week. The drinks were good but the service was terrible. The bartender could not have acted more uninterested in us, and the hostess was just plain rude. I’m not sure if they were just tired from a busy week, but it was not good service.

Our sincere apologies for not meeting your expectations on your visit in November during our National Festival - Pirates Week. There is absolutely no reason for you to experience anything but our normal fantastic service. That is a simple controllable item. We have made some recent changes in personnel and we hope you will be able to visit us again soon.

Although this is a small location, we didn't have to wait too long to get a table for 6. The service was good and the honey mustard chicken sandwich I had was excellent. It was served on a large bun, along with an ample portion of fries and very good slaw. Some of the family shared nachos, which were good, as was the very large portion of chicken and steak fajitas.

This Hard Rock Cafe is much less about the preservation of music history or heritage than it is about the cruise ships in the harbor. HRC is one of the first things people see when they turn right off the tender. You can sit upstairs in air conditioning with a beer and burger and take pictures of your cruise ship. The view of the harbor is fabulous.

I'm more of a long-term visitor, though, sampling the cuisine from one end of the island to the other. At some point I get tired of local food and just want a salad. This is where HRC comes through for me.

First of all, it's just around the corner, so does not require any effort to visit. That's a plus when you're living in town without a car. Secondly, of the half dozen or so restaurants where I sampled salads, this is the only one that offered an arugula salad. Bonus points.

I've had this meal three times (over the last few years) and it's been consistently good. Fresh arugula with thinly sliced chicken, sprinkles of feta cheese, dried cranberries, unusually small bits of pecan. All of this tossed in a lemon-like vinaigrette. It's a good portion, and sometimes one just wants to feel like there is some nutritional value to the calories consumed.

Cathy had a Cobb salad she quite liked. In the past she had very good ribs served.

That's about all I can offer - HRC describes itself as "Rock ’n’ roll-themed chain with a high-energy vibe serving burgers & American classics." Eh, not this one, not in my experience. Go for reliable nutrition (or fried food if that's your thing), great view, air conditioning, free wifi, open on Christmas day. All worked in our favor.

Thanks for your detailed review and the excellent comments about our tasty salads.
I couldn't agree more, believe me I love our burgers but, once in a while, a nutritious salad works wonders.
