“Great central location in Marigot”
Reviewed 26 March 2017 for a stay in February 2017

This apartment is close to two Marinas and within a short walk of the downtown area. Good restaurants, and cafes are a block away. A nice stroll to Fort Louis and the large vessel Marina at the end of the day is a great way to relax and take int eh sights and sounds of town. Or sit on the dock in front of the apartment and watch the sun go down with a few of the residents. You will feel a part of the local community and feel right at home in this studio.
Groceries are not to far, you can walk to the grocery store if you feel energetic. Parking is available right outside and we had no problems finding parking at the end of the day.
The studio has everything you need for a nice stay. the view is better than any picture can convey. Watching the various sailboats come and go while having a coffee in the morning is a great way to start your day.
Relaxing and comfortable.

“Nice Place to Sleep”
Reviewed 13 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

If you are looking for a place to sleep on St. Martin.
This is good place to stay. It is within walk distance of the ferris and some good places to eat. It is small and does not have a real balcony, or beach

“Nice Spot in Marigot”

The location in Marigot is great and the studio has everything you could want. Valerie was very helpful and honest about the area. The beach is small and not great for swimming, but its hard to complain when you see crystal clear water from the small balcony. We were somewhat frugal and shopped at the Super U which was only a fifteen minute walk or so. Bus terminal is a ten minute walk. Grand Case and Phillipsburg are very easy to get to from the terminal. I am not sure I would stay in Marigot on my second trip to St. Martin as it is somewhat dead at night, but if I did I would definitely return to Valerie's wonderful studio. I will say that Marigot is a great place to stay if you're trying to explore the whole island. Also Anguilla is also a short boat ride away and the ferry leaves from Marigot. Overall, for the price, Valerie's rental was a great value.

“Central but noisy”

One of 56 one bed apartments situated on the fourth floor in an old building with no lift. it measures 3m x 7m including kitchen and bathroom there is no balcony as advertised. On the main road to Sandy Bottom the noise from the kids on their scooters is incessant and the aircon in the apartment next door kept me awake most nights. My main concern was one of fire safety, there is only one stairwell in the building and that is at the Northern end of the building directly above a Thai Restaurant and a Pizzeria. If a fire started in one of those Restaurants it may compromise the stairwell and leave occupants with no way out.

This apartment had everything required for an enjoyable stay. We did not rent a car so for two weeks we walked 10 minutes to the bus stop and visited all the island beaches for $1.50 per. ride! Ware throat marketplace was a 10 minute walk, but the jewel was the 5 minute walk to Marina Royale with the fabulous restaurants surrounding the harbor and marina. What a treat! We stayed for two weeks and every day was better than the one prior. The only hindrance might be for elderly....it is fourth floor walk up with no elevator. For everyone else, a joy.
