The Villas are just that: beautifully-appointed apartments with a large bed/sitting room, a good-sized and well-supplied kitchen, and a roomy nice bathroom. But what really takes the cake are the beautiful balconies, where one is tempted to enjoy the sound and sights of the sea forever. Everything is beautifully conceived and designed. The beach in front is great for walking (beaches are open to all in St. Lucia, so one can walk along the Sandals resort a little ways up as well. BTW, this Sandals seems to be a quiet one; noise was no problem.
But much as one is tempted to dwell on the lovely villas and beach, it's the really outstanding staff that puts Village Beach Cottages in a class of its own. They were extremely helpful and efficient in arranging all sorts of guided trips for us--even a boat to take us by sea to climb the Gros Piton down beyond Soufriere.
I would add that General Manager Colin Hunte is a walking encyclopedia about the island of St. Lucia, and is extremely helpful in helping visitors take advantage of the wonders of this wonderful island.More
