It's a long and mountainous trip from the airport (90 mins), but worth the effort. The Windjammer is a great boutique sized resort with a beautiful stretch of beach. The villa was spacious, clean and with a spectacular view. The shower is especially nice. It's necessary to utilize the shuttles to get to the villas. The walk to the restaurants and the beach is easy going downhill but tough going up. No problem, the shuttle service is great.
The staff at the resort really makes the stay special. Nona at the beach bar, 96 degrees in the Shade, makes the best drinks. Her banter keeps you coming back. The swings at the bar overlooking the hammocks in the water helps too.
The food is exceptional. We did not expect this level of quality from an all inclusive. The local cuisine is fresh and delicious. The steaks at the Upper Deck are great.
Poppa Dons is a terrific Italian restaurant with a staff that makes you feel at home.
Don't expect to spend much time on your devices. The Wifi is spotty at best.
By the end of the week we participated in the beach games. They are silly but fun and it's a good way to meet your fellow resort mates.
Not much in the way of night life. Each night there's a local live band at the Jammers but that's it.
Only two negatives about this place: there's new construction going on at the end of the beach that is noisy and annoying. The other is the St Lucia airport. It's not well organized at all. The announcements are impossible to understand. We almost missed our flight out because they never announced it was boarding.
Overall, this place is a winner.

We transferred through interval for a one bedroom villa. The transfer said we would have an in unit washer and dryer, so we packed less. The unit location and view of the water is beautiful. The bedroom is fine and the bathroom shower is great. Very large and walkin. The porch is open to the view with nice furnishings and table and chairs. The kitchen and living area are small. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher and no washer/dryer. You can pay to have laundry done. The restaurants on site are nice but pricey. We got transportation from the airport and stopped for groceries on the way. The windjammer is not convenient to grocery stores. You have to take a taxi for everywhere you go off the resort. We had an option for all inclusive but did not get it. The beach is beautiful with great sunsets. They offer shuttle service to your room because the area is hilly to the rooms.

Room Tip: All rooms have water views

We love, love, loved the WJL! We stayed all-inclusive (a must as it can be very expensive otherwise!) in a one bedroom villa. The views from our patio were incredible. The food was very good at all the restaurants. Embers opened up on our 2nd last day so we got to enjoy the new menu. The staff are so very friendly and welcoming and a shout out to Nona, Maggie, Herbert, Niles and so many more for making our vacation memorable. There is construction on new villas been built by the beach but it did not bother us. We highly recommend the WJL and will definitely be back in 2018!

We spent a week at Windjammer (all inclusive) and had a fabulous trip. The staff were so friendly (especially Nona from the beach bar, John running some shuttles and Nekera from the Jammers restaurant). Would highly recommend the hotel- our villa was incredible

Just returned from Windjammer’s,stayed for 10 days, all inclusive in a 2 bedroom Hibiscus suite. The suite was lovely with a hot tub on the balcony.
All the food was great,Embers was shut but tried all the other restaurants,Upper Deck was our favourite.
We only used the shuttle service once as we were within walking distance of most things.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Noana at the beach bar, where we hung out for a couple of hours most afternoons.
We went deep sea fishing, and did the all day boat trip which was my favourite.Got to see some of the island, and had a party on the way back, drinks were plentiful.
The only downside was the building work.It is impossible to escape it while your on the beach. The new villas are being constructed, and sometimes there was even cement lorries arriving, also hammering and the smell of paint at breakfast coming from Embers restaurant which was being revamped.
I would however return, when the construction is finished.
We used a great taxi company for transfers,St Lucia Transportation. Both drivers were very safe and professional, and communication was great.
Weather was fantastic, even tho it’s still classed as hurricane season.
