Been coming to St Lucia for many years. Always stay in north so get lazy and don’t come to Castries restaurants very often. Been meaning to try The Coal Pot for ages.
And boy we were not disappointed.
Location, food, drinks, wine, staff and service were absolutely top notch.
Will be jumping into a taxi next time we are in Rodney Bay.
Very highly recommended.

Although our Resort was All Inclusive my adult daughter and I went here for dinner one night and I'm so glad we did. The restaurant offers a truly unique experience. The atmosphere was similar to that of a house boat and the seafood exceptional. I recommend dressing up because it attracts a stylish crowd. The professional staff can help you choose the best fish that is specific to your taste. The wines selection is excellent . It's a dinner that I'll remember for a very long time!

This is a quaint little place right off of a bay really close to the airport. You literally can see planes taking off from where you sit! We came as a family - meat eaters along side vegans and all of us left happy! I will say they don't have a selection to chose from -- but they happily accommodate dietary restrictions as we said we were "veg" as they like to call it and it was no issue for them to whip up a plate for us. Our meat/fish eating family members were all very happy with their meals and had plenty of local fish to chose from. I'd recommend if you are in the area and need somewhere that can accommodate multiple diets this is a good choice. Also the service was great!

Our meal at Coal Pot was enjoyable. The view in the quiet bay is beautiful and the service was attentive. The meal progressed on "island time " which was fine as we enjoyed the charming ambience. The shrimp was tender and tasteful. A good meal but seemed overpriced compared to other restaurants on the island (over $300 USD for a family of 4--with only one member of our party enjoying two glasses of wine).

A French style restaurant with excellent fish cooked in garlic butter. The appetizers were pretty good and the prices were very reasonable for what we ordered.
