We are a retired couple in our 60's who travel a lot. We stayed at Aquarius on February 13 - 23, We choose this unit because of the location in Dorado and the proximity to the beach. We were not disappointed on either.
Pros: Location (just west of San Juan, easy travel to almost everywhere)
VIEW. VIEW, VIEW (just fabulous!)
Unit is at the end of the resort, so very quiet but farther to pool and beach
Pool (wonderful set up, but lots of kids in the hot tub)
Beach (nice area getting into the water without all the waves hitting you)
All new televisions in the unit (3)
Lots of space
Great walking and jogging trails (golf course is closed so tails are used)
Maribel was wonderful (A/C filters needed replaced and she had it done
the next day.)
Grocery store very close to the unit along with places to eat.
Cons: Unit is a bit run down (needs to be updated)
Air Co was just adequate
King bed needs a new mattress
Beach has rough sand with bits of rocks and debris so be careful
Only a stove top (and only a couple of the burners worked)
13, yes 13, speed bumps to get to property
After settling into the unit we had a wonderful time. I would recommend this unit though I think the cost is a bit high. Our damage deposit was released from Maribel with no problem
******The BIG problem was Trip Advisor. After easily taking out the money for the rental they could not seem to return the deposit back onto my credit card. I had to open a dispute with my credit card company to finally receive the deposit from Trip Advisor (and funny thing, it came the day after I started the dispute), I found that they outsource all their complaints to India. Therefore, you could not get any information from them. They had no names, phone numbers or other information to give you. They would just repeat a pat response. NOT COOL Trip Advisor.
