My friends and I had the most amazing Jamaican experience and it was all down to our idyllic accommodation and our wonderful host Shirley. It is a unique house with beautiful art, a pool and lovely gardens. It is on a quiet, tranquil road set away from the hustle and noise of town. All of the rooms are beautifully decorated and on arrival you feel immediately welcomed. The simple elegance of the place really sets this place apart - all down to the creative talents of the host.
Shirley is one of a kind and it appeared as if her every moment was dedicated to making us, her guests, happy. Each morning, as the other reviewers have said, an amazing spread for breakfast. Real home cooked Caribbean food with a twist.
Shirley was also our guide and we were treated to mystical, magical tours around the Island - stopping on the way for peppered prawns, yam and salt fish or real and delicious Jerk Chicken. All local food but with Shirley as our guide we were taken to the best spots. We learnt about the local culture, history and folk law on the way. She pointed out the beautiful Jamaican architecture, swam in the Blue Lagoon and drank rum on the Pelican Bar near Black River.
Every day was an adventure and coming back home to her home was simply heaven!More
