Villa Patiently Waiting in Mammee Bay Estates, Ocho Rios came through again for my family. I was married at the villa in December 2013 and everything was beautiful. I decided to bring my family for a celebration in March 2018 and it was even better. We were able to utilize all sections of the property, and the upgrades and amenities are unrivaled in this area at the cost.
Maurice Davis ensured that everyone was comfortable and well cared for.
I love the new cottage and the outdoor Jacuzzi area.
The location never disappoints and Patiently Waiting keeps delightfully surprising me.
My third time staying at this villa so felt compelled to leave a review. Stunning, peaceful and secure location. Very near all the attractions of Ochio Rios.
Every time I go back the owner has improved the interior of the villa to a high standard. Most recently the bathrooms have been upgraded with luxury fittings.
The rooms in the villa are spacious, clean and comfortable. There is efficient air-conditioning in every room. They also have have "Flow" cable TV with multiple stations available.
They were the best nights sleep I got while on the island and we travelled around quite a bit.
I stayed there with my Mother - who was 75 during our stay - My Dad, Fiancée and two daughters. On Mum's birthday the ladies got into the Jacuzzi while Dad and I relaxed watching the sport. Bliss. :-)
We also made daily use of the pool and sun loungers to top-up our vitamin E's.
The staff were helpful and friendly. They couldn't do enough for us. Big shout out to Chris the manager who looked after us and especially my elderly parents, very well.
We were also able to engage the services of an on site chef who came in every day to cook meals for us including a delicious Jamaican breakfast. Chef also got the barbie going and grilled us some tasty, spicy, jerk-chicken!
The Mammee bay beach is five minutes walk away. Bamboo Blue resturant based there is a lovely place to eat by the beach.
I would really recommend Miss T's Kitchen in town for quality authentic Jamaican food.
We will be returning in July to get married in Jamaica and this villa will be our base. We can't wait!
I TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH THE BELOW REVIEW!!! whom which was our next door neighbour. For one I would like to say a BIG BIG thank you to CHRIS LUDFORD for accommodating me and the 8 other guest in my party. He was very professional, useful, hardworking and kept everything up to standards in and around the villa. Chris made us feel very safe keeping security tight at all times of day and night and was always a help in hand if needed any information and any problems solved.
Secondly I booked this villa as I regularly travel to Jamaica and thought I would try something different which I really enjoyed and defiantly will be returning to Jamaica to this villa!! And would recommend highly to friends and family.
In my defence I would like to say the below is a lie ... Christopher LUDFORD DID NOT take any participation in any 'party's' ... There was no parties what so ever. We as a mixture of ages like to explore and enjoy going out which we did quite a lot. Whilst in the villa we would sit around the pool with a level volume of music, with laughter enjoying the beautiful Jamaican sunshine!!! In which on a few occasions the below guests who was our neighbour at the times husband, son, daughter in law and two grandchildren joined us around the pool the below lady did not join. We felt her unfriendly attitude when arriving to the villa but we did not pay no mind to that. The apartment the below had stayed in was joined to our villa which meant we could hear them and they could hear us. We was on vacation so there noise and whining of children did not bother us.
Chris would address the belows complaints professionally with us one was about us shaking the metal protector gates which was not the case we explained the gate was lower than the actual lock and also very stiff ... Chris greased the lock so it would make less noise however every time locking the main entrance we would need to lift the gate.
The below guest bedroom was located where our walkway was which had a table and chairs located in that area which some of my party would like to sit outside under the lovely shaded table whilst still enjoyed the heat.
There is a door which is blocked off that can lead to the villa from the below March lady's apartment maybe joining it as one would be better as you would have less people like the below lady complaining. As they stated below they got offered to move apartments if We was that much of an issue they would have snatched this Imediatley.
During our stay we did not hear or see any staff issues surely if this was true one of us would have witnessed this as we were a party of 9.
I would strongly like to state that no other staff member exceeded to their job role like Chris did. For such a lovely big place quick cleaners should be on deck as when leaving we witnessed Chris was actually doing her job however like I have said I RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE WE WILL BE RETURNING VERY SOON!
Thank you Alvin Appleton for such a lovely villa it was defiantly home from home!!
Biggs upppp IRIE MON
This was a beautiful experience. The grounds were landscaped beautifully, the caretaker took care of any need or question we had,and lastly jobe our chef wss magnificent. Probably the tastiest food I have ever had in my life!
We don't like to stay in a resort, so with my husband, we booked 9 days at the Villa Patiently Waiting, and we have enjoyed every moment we passed there. The pool is as blue as the Caribbean Sea, the rooms are cleans and well furnished. Alvin the owner was very attentive to speak with us to know if all was nice. We both have very much appreciated the kindness and the competence of Chris Ludford, our caretaker, always ready to advice us about the places or the restaurants to go.
The villa is close to Dolphin Cove, where we swam with the dolphins. About 25 min drive, we were jumped in the Irie Blue Hole, thank to our guide Jerom it was a memorable time. We also drove to Kingston to reach Strawberry Hill in the Blue Mountain where we saw the gallery of Chris Blackwell and all Stars records.
We have been dining at Christopher's at Ocho Rios, and at Sharkies on the beach, we were amazed by the lobster lunch.
Olivier and I spent 9 precious days, in a place like a paradise garden and we would like to return there again. Thank to Chris and all the Jamaican people we met, we are grateful for your welcome.
