Went down for a family reunion and stayed for a week at Coral Cay. The property is beautiful and the staff are all fantastic and friendly. They definitely make you a part of their family. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The location is an easy drive to many attractions around ocho rios. Reggae beach is a 5-10 minute walk down the road.

The property is full of coconut trees and one of the staff even climbed up and brought down a couple dozen for us. Fresh jelly!

The only minor downside is the "beach" area. The sand area doesn't extend to the water so you have to walk down a couple steps to the water. The water area itself is nicely separated from the sea, but the water plants have sort of overrun the area so it not great for swims...but the pool makes up for that.

All in all a great place to stay. If you are tired of the repetitiveness and tedium at the all inclusives and and enjoy things like planning you own meals (staff will buy the food and prep for a modest fee) then stay like a real jamaican and give Coral Cay a try.

Stayed: March 2014

Our friends got married in Jamaica, and they rented out the villas for their friends and family to stay at. We were impressed, not really knowing what to expect once we got down there! Nearly every unit has an ocean view, as well as a private patio overlooking the common area. The rooms were clean and spacious, having both a ceiling fan and AC unit....which definitely came in handy! The rooms also had great black-out curtains and kept the room nice and dark. Bathroom was decent, although make sure to bring/buy shampoo since they only provide bar soap.

We had access to a full common kitchen where we could store our food/drinks etc. but if you leave anything out the ants will be sure to find it! The common 'living area' also has a TV and you can even pick up a wi-fi signal, although sometimes you had to move around to find a hot spot.

The pool was great, although not heated, and the hot tub was nice, although not as hot as we would have expected. Still, the patio furniture was perfect to lay out on with a good book and the covered area came in handy when the rainstorms rolled in, usually once every day or so. Hurricane Sandy had clearly done some damage to the balcony & breakers at the ocean's edge—it gave it a little bit of a run-down appearance. But there was a nice sandy swimming area that was protected from the wild ocean a few yards away. A few of our friends were even snorkeling. The staff was nice, for the most part, and kept the place spotless even after our group had some wild nights. I would definitely stay here again if we came back to Jamaica with a large group!

I recently got married in Jamaica and searched other villas to host our wedding and fell in love with Coral Cay Villas, Ocho Rios! We stayed there for the entire week with close friends and some family and our visit was amazing. The staff was warm, attentive, and friendly. They immediately made everyone there feel like family and we even included them in some of our activities! They had private water sports in the small private beach area, and a large pool with a bar (stocked by us). The only thing is that the furniture and decor was a bit outdated, but we spent most of our time outdoors in the lovely weather anyway. And it was still a comfortable place to stay. The property was the perfect size for what we needed, and having the wedding (ceremony and reception), all in one place was more than convenient for us. Our dreams came true at Coral Cay, and we hope to visit Beverley and the rest of the staff again soon! I would recommend this to everyone!

Room Tip: Any room is a good room! It's close to the ocean if you like the sound of the ocean. A better view of the ocean would be nice too, in the upstairs bedrooms. Great place overall, though.

From New York and the entire family went down for Christmas 2011. The staff is the best!!! Made us feel quite at home. Food was great (Barbara thanks for my homily corn). I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars as the room are a bit dated, but very clean, the pool was quite cold and the access to the beach.....we had to go next door if we wanted to access the beach. Apart from that we had a fantastic week and have decided to return again for Christmas 2012!
Cannot wait!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Ocean view is the way to go. The view is magnificent!

We are from Kansas City, MO and our wedding was held at Coral Cay and we couldn't have picked a better villa. We LOVE the staff to death!! Barbara, Seymour, Diane, and Jessica made us feel like family. We had over 75 poeople .attend the wedding, and at least 25 guests stayed at the villa. My coordinator who WAS NOT associated with Coral Cay stood me up after getting paid and ALL of the staff stepped in and made my wedding a BEAUTIFUL occassion from the ceremony to the reception, they made it work and we love them for that. We look forward to returning EVERY year!! The food was great. They catered to both my family who is from the states as well as my husband's family who is from Jamaica. The pictures on the website is not even half of what you will be getting. We had guests from one year to 87 years old. This resort HAS a back up generator which came in handy when the island had an island wide black out. We were one of the few with electricity. This is a BIG plus!!!!!!!!!!
