We visited as a group of 5 at Maca Bana for 3 nights, and our reservation process was seamless. They were accommodative enough to help us get an additional room when we had an extra guest who made a last minute reservation.

The property itself is conveniently located about 7 minutes away from the airport. The staff, especially Nickson/Nexon is just amazing. I believe it's a family run business and they do an amazing job at maintaining the overall property.

It pains me to give them 3 stars, but that is primarily because we had reserved the Mango Villa, specifically because of it's view and we wanted to experience hanging out with friends, chilling in the Jacuzzi in the evening (drinking), admiring the amazing ocean views. Sadly, the Jacuzzi wasn't working for the duration of our stay (something to do with power/transformer).

I wish the management would have either given us a discount OR could have arranged for an alternative room. In all fairness, we did not ask for a discount, because I personally try to avoid such conversations as it ruins my vacay mood, and so expected this message to come from the management.

Regardless, cannot take away the amazing hospitality and service we got from the Maca Bana team, so thanks for that!

Suggestion to future tourists - please confirm all the equipment is working in your room, especially if you reserved it for the view etc.

Room Tip: Mango Villa has amazing view if the Jacuzzi is working of course!

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our property. It is always heartwarming to hear that our staff and hospitality was appreciated.

I am very sorry that your stay was compromised by the lack of use of the Hot Tub in the Mango Villa. Unfortunately, our attempts to have a replacement power supplies did not materialized for the duration of your stay and again we humble apologies. We are happy to advise that, it came thereafter and the hot tub is now fully functional.

It is very unfortunate that you were disappointed that management did not offer you a discount or an alternative room. We are a small property as you might have noticed and cannot claim to meet the standards of a larger hotel in having access to many other rooms. We sincerely hope that your entire vacation was not tarnish by not having access hot tub, but other aspect of the villa was welcoming.

Thank again.

Nickson

Stayed here for a week, and what a great week it was. Stayed at the PawPaw Villa which was right at the top of the hill. The walk up to the top was greated with the most amazing view you could wish for.

Being at the bottom of the island in a very quiet area was perfect to escape the hustle and bustle of the town with the option of a short drive down to the main beach area.

The beach by Maca Bana is extremely quiet if you want to relax, it is slightly rocky which is perfect if you want to snorkel, and Maca Bana provide you with snorkel gear.

The pool has a really good view too which was never crowded so you could easily relax.

If you were to do your own cooking the cooking facilities were great with so many utensils, it is definitely a home from home.

The views were magnificent, the accommodations were comfortable, the beach was beautiful, the restaurant food was tasty, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Sitting in the hot tub on the deck overlooking the ocean or swimming in the infinity pool with similar views was very relaxing. It was also very nice to have drinks at the beach bar overlooking the water. Also, having a kitchen to prepare meals is a major benefit and cost saver. Excursions to Grand Anse Beach, going on boat rides, and taking a hike to Seven Sisters Falls are all a must.

Room Tip: All of the villas are nice.

Grenada isn't like most Caribbean islands. You have to WANT to go there. There aren't a lot of flights there. There aren't any trip-off cruises there that I know of. But what there is, is Maca Bana. I've stayed at 4 Diamond hotels; I've stayed at 5 Star hotels. The actual experience at them is in no way better than at Maca Bana. The accommodations, the staff, he location....there is nothing I can mention that is not top class. Where else are you going to be where you can enjoy not one but three rainbows in a single day...including one DOUBLE rainbow...from your own patio and/or hot tub? Or where you get fresh site-grown flowers every day? I almost hesitate to review it because I like it like it is: not over touristed, not crowded and mostly Grenadians everywhere you go. The Maca Bana is the ideal platform from which you can enjoy this wonderful island..and find yourself walking from your villa...to the restaurant/bar...and right off onto their beach, and Magazine Beach after that. Do it.

Room Tip: Use the dedicated phone and drivers to get around and save yourself the trouble.

Beautiful location on a bluff overlooking the beach. High price for what it is. Be prepared to carry your own suitcase - up the hill and up and down steps! Nice fully equipped kitchen, saggy bed. Steep walk down the hill to the restaurant. Good food but very slow and poor service. We thought this would be a private beach but 40 to 50 cruise passengers arrive every other day to use the facilities there. Good snorkeling off the beach.
