We stayed at the NOW Onyx the third week of January 2021 with two couples in our 40's. The resort was very clean and almost all of the amenities and resort activities were happening despite the fact the facility was far from full. We've been to resorts before that were near capacity and having the place to ourselves was wonderful! We never fought for a chair at the beach or a spot by the pool. The evening entertainment was pretty typical for resorts but very good. The NOW has 6 or 7 restaurants and only 2 of them were open each night but we were able to enjoy all of them in our 6 night stay. If you stay the NOW Onyx you also have access to Breathless Resort next door which was nice. We came back to the states on Jan 25th the day before the rule change on COVID testing, but the resort told us that they planned to offer COVID tests free of charge on the resort property once the US rule went into effect. If you're going to catch the virus it's not likely going to happen at the resort. The place was incredibly clean and they sanitize everything on a regular basis. Because the resort was not very full there was plenty of room to social distance. All of the staff wear masks 100% of the time. A shout out for Kevin Hart who was part of the entertainment team at the NOW. Kevin lead us in several fun activities each afternoon and was part of the nighttime entertainment as well. Kevin would often go out of his way during the day to find us and make sure we were having a great time at the resort. Kevin loves his job and makes you feel right at home!
Overall I would highly recommend the resort! If you choose to travel right now you will be experiencing a once in a lifetime opportunity to enjoy resorts when many others are not. We've been to numerous resorts and this was an experience we've not had on any trip prior - not fighting the crowds was great!More
