We stayed at Bayside for 18 days and enjoyed it to the fullest! The staff is very friendly and accommodative, which genuinely makes you feel welcomed. Check-in and check-out times were flexible, free of any charge. Rooms are well equipped, including i.a. a fridge, coffee machine, desk with chair (very useful when working in conjunction with sound WiFi connection), comfortable bed and shower with waterfall and regular head. Next to that, the rooms are cleaned once a day, including renewal of towels and bed sheets (if desired). Breakfast is served at the tranquil terrace in front of the hotel from 7am-11am. Golf clubs are provided by the hotel free of charge. Location of the hotel was perfect for us. By car, the white-sanded beaches at the West coast can be reached within 30 min, lively bars and restaurants at Pietermaai within 15 min and the beach clubs at Mamboo Beach or Jan Thiel within 30 min. Big supermarket (Centrum) is within a 5 min drive. Also, Blue Bay beach is just a 2 min walk, ideal for a morning swim or relaxing beach day.
In terms of areas for improvement, the continental breakfast is included with your stay. Whilst the breakfast is good, variety is fairly limited. The breakfast includes fresh orange juice, good coffee, fruits, cakes, croissants and some slices of bread with ham, cheese, jam and Nutella. This is completely fine for a couple of days, however if you are staying for a longer period it would be nice to have some optionality (e.g. eggs, yoghurt). Furthermore, gym equipment is outdated, but luckily the Blue Bay resort is a great place for running. :)

Chose to stay here over the Avila Beach resort as the reviews and ratings were closely matched. We figured we would spend most of the time away from the hotel so a couple hundred dollar savings was worth it. Big mistake. The service here is terrible. No laundry service. Spotty internet that works within 100 feet from the office. Gym is not open till 7 am. No exchange service for USD to local currency. Breakfast was 17 dollars per person for bread, ham and cheese, fruit and an omelet. Great beach within 300 yards.

Dear guest,
What a pity that your stay was not what you expected. We do indeed have problems with our internet provider that is being worked on but this company has the monopoly and does not work as we would like. I stopped doing laundry service because this was too expensive for the guests, I like to advise people to go to a nearby laundry. The gym is open 24 hours a day. Changing money is just like the laundry and it is perfectly possible to pay with USD everywhere. The breakfast is really more than you list, juices, cereals, sweet cakes, egg of your choice, various types of cheese and meats, luxury sandwiches .....
Fortunately, many guests appreciate our service for which our team works hard every day.

The hotel was wonderful. The room was huge and very clean. There was a small kitchen with a fridge, dishes, a coffee machine and a kettle. A safe in the closet. And a bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The hotel is small and quiet.
The staff were so wonderful and helpful.
The beach is right next to the hotel, great for snorkeling! The bar on that beach serve the best mojitos on the island. And there is a great restaurant right next to it on the beach.
We rented a car so we were able to go to downtown Willemstad very quickly in 20 minutes. And also to travel on the island and visit different beaches.

One of the main reasons to choose this hotel was the distance to the Blue Bay Beach and because it’s more quiet than the area where most of the tourists go (like Jan Thiel beach). Our expectations were right. There are not a lot of rooms, so the atmosphere is relaxed. All personnel were friendly and gave good
customer service. The place was very clean. We had a room without a balcony but you could open the big window so there was still enough light/air. There was a little fridge to put your drinks in. The television only provides Netflix, no tv channels. But anyway, who wants to stay in the room and watch tv with such sunny surroundings. The only thing we missed was a washing line in the bathroom to dry our wet bathing suits, since we did not have a balcony. The WiFi was not very well in the room, so sometimes we would walk up to the restaurant Pictures of the hotel. In that area the WiFi was a lot better. This is the same restaurant where you get your breakfast in the morning. Breakfast, was all kinds of breads, yoghurt, fruit and cheese and hams. You could sit outside on a terrace, very nice. We only ate there once and it has an Italian card. Since we had a car, we drove to different restaurants in the area. There is one small swimming pool, but we never used it, because we went to the beach.
The Blue bay beach is across the parking place of the hotel, like a 1 minute walk. You get a free passes to the beach if you stay in this hotel. See my other review about the beach. You need a car if you want to see the surroundings. Willemstad was about 15–20 minutes and to Westpunt 30 minutes from this hotel. We also got our groceries from a supermarket, 5 minutes drive.
So I would definitely recommend this hotel because of the relaxed atmosphere, vicinity of the beach and personnel.

Thank you for your nice review! Today, people have finally finished installing good WiFi for the entire hotel. That took a lot of effort, we live on an island and these types of novelties are really less modern. I hope you choose Bayside Boutique Hotel again on your next visit to Curacao!

We stayed here for a week in late February- early March and loved everything about this hotel! Great location on the island, central to everything. Clean, large deluxe room was very comfortable. We had a fridge and coffee maker, and ate breakfast almost every morning on our patio on the pool level.

The staff was fantastic, especially Richard. Warm greeting upon our very late arrival, very attentive and informative.

Blue Bay Beach, in our opinions, is the nicest we saw on Curacao. We had to walk about 50 yards to this beautiful beach. The snorkeling was great right off the beach. Clean, always lounge chairs available in sun or shade, beach bar, dive facilities, restrooms. Awesome sunsets.

The pool was very nice, and we had it to ourselves each time we used it! Only adults were staying here when we were here, and we rarely saw anyone else. We loved the privacy and quiet surroundings.

We did try the breakfast buffet one morning. It was average at best, and over priced. We were happy to have bought beverages, fruit, and breakfast pastries early in the week for,our breakfasts on our patio.

The food at Pictures restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent. The restaurant is understaffed, and it took a long time to get served. The staff were doing their best, but had trouble taking care of everyone in a timely manner.

Wonderful experience overall!
